We stayed with our parents and Sarah went out of her way with the explanation of the accomodation, parking, amenities and pick-up of keys. Clean apartement. Quiet building and neighborhood yet very convenient for the city centre; only a 5 min walk. Nice rooms and good beds; we slept very well. Kitchen was well stocked. Wifi worked. We did not use it, but there were some dvd's and a television. Overall, we can recommend this host and apartement highly.
Stayed 2.5 months in Vieux Nice; apartment was exactly as described, great location, very spacious. Sarah and Jenny were very accommodating and professional. Only cons were the noise level on Friday nights, and 5 flights of stairs without elevator but otherwise fantastic fantastic stay. Desk and good internet made working from laptop super easy.
We found the location of the apartment to be perfect, located close to the Grands Hommes shopping centre and a 5 minute walk to the Grand Theatre and the main sights. The neighbourhood was fairly quiet, with some noise from surrounding flats but that is to be expected in a city. The flat is up 2 flights of narrow stairs.
The main lounge is light and airy but could do with a more comfortable sofa and some extra seating. The kitchen is small and well-equipped. Off the main lounge is a small bathroom /toilet. The study is also next to the lounge which we did not use but contains a leather sofa / lounger.
The main bedroom, accessed from the study, is very spacious with lots of space to store clothes. The bed was fairly comfortable. From here you can access another bathroom, with good shower, a separate toilet, and bedroom 2. This was the main concern for us, although we managed OK, it does not suit everyone to access the second bedroom through the master bedroom. The second bedroom is smaller than the master but still adequate.
There are many windows for ventilation, but in particularly hot weather it would benefit from air conditioning, but this is an old French building so you cannot really expect it. In summary, perfectly adequate for 2 people, I think you may struggle to be comfortable with 4 or 6 adults.
Myself and my family of four stayed in the Pigeon Tower for a week this September. All I can say is that is was an amazing week made 100% better by the beautiful views from the pigeon tower patio. All of the images of the Pigeon tower are spot on. The view is impeccable, there's plenty of room to sit out on the patio on deck chairs or to eat (we spent most of the week sat there)! The bedrooms and bathrooms are of a really good size with again, stunning views and although the living area downstairs isn't huge, there was enough space for us to do all we needed there. We had great weather but i think if we had had to be inside all week it would have felt a little small for 4 grown adults. Sarah and the family are absolutely lovely and even put us in touch with a fabulous pastry chef who came to the house for an afternoon to teach us some French pastry secrets. The Pool is huge and again sits looking onto stunning views just to the left of the property. We felt comfortable, private and in luxury during our stay. Absolutely brilliant place. Will be recommending it to friends as well as coming back when we can.
Our experience was great. The apartment was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was huge. The apartment had everything we needed and the location was perfect. We really felt at home and actually did not want to leave the place. Sarah was very helpful and always responded to our calls. I was able to connect to the WIFI and do my business from the lounge room. The only challenge was the 5 floors of stairs we had to navigate every time we went out. It was worth it :-)
I stayed at Sarah's place for 4 days with my family and the apartment was simply awesome! It is very spacious, beautifully decorated, right in the heart of Bordeaux and had everything we needed! I was lucky this apartment was available; it made my stay!
Also kein 'easy to manage' wie in der Beschreibung geschrieben.
It has been a great pleasure to welcome Sarah and her friends. Communication went very easy and they left the apartment in perfect condition. I strongly recommend Sarah as guest.
