My stay at Joel's place with good. The apt was very near to train station and Emart. Joel was very helpful, he helped me a lot throughout my stay especially when the airline lost my baggage. He helped to call the airline on my behalf when I have difficulties contacting them. Thanks a lot Joel!
My wife and I stayed at Joel's loft for 5 nights and left with a really good impression. Location-wise, it was situated just steps away from the Eungnam train station, and there were plenty of places to eat and buy things very close by. The loft itself was just like how the photos depicted. The ceiling of the loft is about 4 ft., so if you have back problems be aware. Other than that, the loft had all the amenities including a washing machine for clothing. All in all, we felt it was good value for our stay.
I have a wonderful experience in Korea. Joel's house is very comfortable and clean. The upstair area for sleep is very suitable for us to get rest. Also, Joel provided many equipment for us to use in house, That make us can live here conveniently.
Joel is very friendly and nice, I am pleasure that I can meet a great landlord. Joel always reply my question patiently and provided many useful information for us.
He is willing to spend time to search more information for us. I will book Joel's house when I travel to Korea next time.
Joel's apartment was great and the view is really amazing to wake up to. He was very organized and answered all my message almost immediately. Even at 12am I got a response within minutes. Also, the apartment is very close to the train, only 2 blocks! Personally, I hated the beds. I'm only 5ft but I still had to crouch in and out of bed which I found very tedious. I hit my head a few times :(. And I have to admit though, the hallways look a little creepy at night. Especially when they turned off the hallway lights on Sunday. I don't know if that's a normal thing? I still felt safe, the lock system is pretty cool. The neighborhood doesn't have much besides a few restaurants, but there's a huge E-mart a few blocks down where you can go shopping.
Joel was efficient and organised and helpful. He responded promptly to my booking and to all communication. He met me at the apartment, showed me all of the things that needed showing, and that was that. Easy. Thanks Joel. The place is clean and comfy with a nice daytime light, thanks to those big windows. It is on the top floor. For me, waiting a few minutes for the lift was quite pleasant. But don't be in a rush.
Perfect location if you are going to anything at the World Cup Stadium! I went to a football game. I also hired a bike from the stall nearby and rode 3 ks to the Han river for a bit of urban sightseeing. This is a residential area of Seoul, with plenty of shops and cafes. There is a great Vietnamese restaurant in the building, right downstairs.
If you like your privacy, this is the right place for you. Joel was very accommodating in every way. He met us at the apartment, showed us how to use the equipment and key lock. I love the security system of the apartment and the location, you cannot beat. Conveniently close to bus, shopping, and running trail. 3 mile hike will take you to Hangang river park and swimming pool.
I stayed at joel place for a while. His place is really good I fully recommended. Had really great view from the room. If you looking somewhere to stay far from tourist area his place is perfect. Easy to go to everywhere from the subway.... im really happy and would like to go back and stay at joel place next my visit....
The apartment is exactly as described and extremely close to Eungam Station and E-Mart. While I didn't meet Joel, he was really kind and allowed me to check in early and provided lots of guides with helpful information. He also e-mailed me during my stay to see how things were going and if I needed any help. I would recommend Joel's apartment.
My first visit to Korea. The house was just as what I see on the picture. It was so cute and cozy. Best part about the house was "the view". I can honestly say, I slept EVERY NIGHT with the blinds open. The owner had all the necessity we needed for our stay. The house actually made us feel like we were next to "home". Even though we couldn't read Korean, we struggle a bit trying to find the place, but he was right. The minute we got off the bus stop/ subway station, it was the tallest brown building. The writings on the walls to differentiate the building was in English (CJ) BUT it was on the side of the building so it was bit hard to find at first. The place was in the middle of everything, walking distance anyways. But to get to other place like Hongdae, Gangnam, etc., you'll have to transfer subway station because of the distance (1-2 transfers, 15 minute distance total). Our place was in Eungam, we stayed right by, Dukin' Donuts, E-mart(15 floors, Walmart/Costco), produce markets, flea markets, Paris baguette, and lots of local restaurant. It was most definitely like "Time Square" not just one part of town, but everywhere! Korea is very modern, and also an up to date country and I would love to visit again, SOON! I'm from New Orleans, Louisiana, home of the "Who Dat?!" SAINTS, and I personally recommend this place to anyone. Btw, if there's a problem with the house, you can easily email him. Joel, the owner, will respond back in no time. Thanks again for the wonderful stay Joel! Yours Truly, Nail (Tee)
Joel was a good host and provided us with the information we needed in a timely fashion. The location of the apartment was great for us as we were visiting friends who lived near to it. We were able to find good food near it as well as groceries. It was also just a short walk from the subway. Overall, it was a good option for us. The only real downside to the place was that it could have been cleaner.
