enjoy traveling, gardening, sailing and good beer.
This place fit our needs for a place to stay, but unfortunately we had thought it would be closer to Providence and to some things to do. Also, it is an old house, so all of our allergies flared up - I would not recommend this apartment to anyone with dust allergies unless allergy medicine is already packed!
Good location for our needs. Bristol does not have a lot of choices for places to stay so it was good to find Ron's place nearby. The apartment suited our needs quite well. Ron is a good host.
I chose this apartment for its proximity to the East Bay Bike Path. The location couldn't have been more perfect. We spent most of Saturday night wandering around the town on foot. Such a lovely location. Loved being so close to the bike trail. The apartment is adorable and quite comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
This corner-unit apartment was comfortable and cozy--perfect for us. My husband and I stayed for three days to attend a family wedding in Newport. While we didn't explore the local area as much as we would've liked, we took brief trips to pick up groceries or visit eateries in Warren or nearby Barrington and Bristol. (My bad for not noticing the Guidebook created by the host--this would've saved us a time in choosing a place to eat the first night there.)
The place has two good-sized bedrooms. If you have young kids then the bedroom with the low bed is perfect for them and the other room with the tall antique bed is great for you.:)! Lots of light streams through the bedroom windows which are situated on corner walls, facing a small side street and "main" street. This isn't really an issue since the apartment is on the 2nd floor of a quiet street in a quiet town.
IMHO, this place isn't large enough for two couples as there's no separate living room nor are there sofas or TV/entertainment systems. We didn't miss having a TV because there is WiFi and I brought my iPad from which we could watch a movie.
The apartment is graced with wooden walls and flooring (fyi, the floor in the kitchen/open area creaks) and a clever vintage drop-down ironing board built into the wall--all part of the charm. There's a full kitchen with a supply of cooking utensils, dishware, etc., a nice size fridge and gas stove. I also liked that there are ample outlets to charge our electronics--such a convenience.
The hosts are gracious, friendly and communicative. When we had questions or needed something such as hangers, Ron was quick to respond. He and his wife also own an import store on the first floor which we enjoyed visiting. Overall, a good place to stay!
Nice place. Bed in bedroom is very Comfortable. Huge kitchen.
Stairs leading to apartment are steep. We had no problem but if elderly might prove challenging.
Ron was great to work with. Responded promptly to all requests or questions.
This is a sweet apartment that is tastefully decorated. It is clean and the beds or comfortable (even if one is on the floor). It is fully equipped to make meals in the apartment and store food, even homey enough to host friends. We stayed with our 2 year old daughter and she too felt very comfortable. The only negative thing was that the door to the second room had been taken off and we only realized as we put our baby down to sleep and looked to close it. I have suggested to Ron to put it back on for more comfort. It is on a beautiful and quite street right near the water. Ron was super nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we were in RI.

Genuinely hospitable and warmly welcoming are the best words to describe Ron and his wife Myta. As my neighbor for quite a few years now, I know Ron can always be counted on; for good conversation, a helping hand, insightful advice, or that tool I need now! Ron and Myta own a beautiful shop in which they sell imports from Indonesian artists and artisans and are involved in promoting the arts in Warren. They have very interesting experiences and and deep knowledge of both Warren and of Indonesia. Their home is bright, comfortably furnished and decorated, with many unique pieces from their travels to Indonesia, original paintings by Myta and original photography by Ron; perfect for hanging out and relaxing or as a base for sightseeing or after a day of business. Ron and Myta both love to meet new people and hear their stories, but also astutely know when quiet time/privacy are wanted. Ron and Myta's laid-back and welcoming personalities suite any type of traveler.
