a good kind guy.
Alejandro's loft is a dream. Very cool decor, great space and location for walking to cool neighborhoods. Parking spot is super useful. Highly recommend accommodations here when visiting Montreal. Alejandro gives you lots of great recommendations. Stay at this sweet loft!
Merci encore Alejandro!
Alejandro is a very friendly and reliable host! A really lovely loft, cool and where you feel like home! Upon arrival, Alejandro already waiting for us, he told us where to go to park the car, then he took his time to explain a bit what was around and how to get there. A bulb missing in the bathroom and he came change it during the evening!
Obviously, you must love this kind of place: very urban, artist! Moreover, I enjoyed the musical talent of the neighbors! Exceptional pianist and fantastic voice!
Thank you again!

Alejandro's loft is true to the name as advertised...it is most definitely cool...and was also quite fun.
Our stay was very enjoyable - we spent many of our evenings in the loft and were very comfortable. Noise levels were never disruptive...and although you could hear neighbours here and there (to be expected in an old factory building converted to housing) there was never a time when it was too loud. The building is in a great location in that it is close to the Atwater market and the beautiful Lachine canal. The metro was a little bit of a hike but nothing too taxing. We spent most of our time on Bixi bikes of which there were two stops very close by.
Alejandro was a great host - he made himself available as needed. He even came by super fast when we accidentally locked ourselves out - the only note I would like to add is that a spare key would be helpful - there were four of us staying here and on some days we were all coming and going at different times which caused a bit of a logistical headache. Otherwise great time and highly recommended,
We had a great time in Montreal. The location was ideal to walk to St. Catherine's street/ Crescent Street. A bit of a walk to Old Port and Old Montreal but there is a Bixi stand right at the loft so we used those bikes a lot. They were perfect. The loft itself is a great space with amazing windows and light. The only draw back was the outside space entering into the loft. There was not much lighting and you entered through a back door/parking lot as there was no real main entrance. Alex was a great host and was very responsive. He was there for us before and during our trip if we had questions.
Alex was a very kind and considerate host. He showed up to let us in with a bag of freshly ground coffee for us to use in his espresso machine and made sure we had everything we needed and more before he left. The space itself is incredible--better than the pictures. I was there with three other people and we all agreed that the space was part of what made the stay in Montreal so memorable. I'd definitely stay here again!
We had a extremely pleasant experience . Alejandro is a great host.
I stayed at Alex's loft with five friends, and we couldn't have been happier. The style and architecture of the loft are really fun. The furniture is very eclectic and has a vintage air to it, and there is a lot of really cool art on the walls. The fact that both bedrooms are open mezzanines gives the loft a very open feel that is very nice. The loft in a great location--within walking distance of Old Montreal and Notre Dame, and a 15 minute drive from the Olympic Park. The neighbors can be a little noisy late into the night, but we didn't mind as we were up anyway. I will say that if you have a fear of heights, I would be wary of sleeping on the mezzanine with the banister-less stairs, but the other mezzanine is fine. Only a slight drawback to what is otherwise a spectacular loft. Alex is at the top of our list of places to stay for the next time we come to Montreal!
I stayed in Alex's loft with my boyfriend and our dog over a long weekend. We absolutely loved it - the space is cool and has tons of character, the location is amazing and Alex was very friendly, helpful and generous. Being able to park the car there for the weekend was an added bonus. We would stay at the loft again without hesitation.
Beautiful loft space with huge windows, fast free wifi, free parking, and 20 min. walk to downtown. Alex is friendly, responsive, and was cool with us bringing our dog. The loft is close to grocery stores and restaurants.
The one caveat is that this is a loft community with a lot of young artists and sounds/smells travel through the spaces. Thursday night our neighbor had a party and although we could sleep through the general noise and smoking, at 2am a DJ started to blast music. After an hour I went over to ask if they could turn it down and they enthusiastically invited me to join the party. If I was in Montreal for fun and not work I might have...everyone seemed friendly and the DJ had great taste. But when I declined they said they wouldn't turn it down, and the DJ played until 5am.
Normally I'd chalk up a weeknight party like that to pure bad luck, but in explaining why he would not turn down the music, the neighbor said something about how partying was part of the building's culture and everyone else understood that. And if the DJ played that far into the night uninterrupted maybe no one else in the building WAS bothered except us. I have a lot of friends who would've joined the party and that would've been a highlight of their trip, but for us it was too much; we'd probably stay somewhere else next time.
Was really nice to meet Alejandro and his Friend, they are very nice people, clean and respectful, they are very welcome to come back to barcelona and stay here again anytime. Recomended Guest!
I have know Alejandro for ten years. He is funny, reliable and I am sure a great host. His place is awesome as is he!
