Good place to stay for a single traveller. Both Austin and Morgan work long hours so you hardly see them, which is a pity because they seem like interesting people.
Lovely apartment and very helpful hosts. Their dog Sam is very sweet, and quietly rests in the living room most of the time. There is a bus stop nearby, leading to GMU campus and Metro station. Very nice living experience!
Austin's and Morgan's apartment was lovely! Everything was as annouced and even if I met one of the hosts only once I could arrive, come and go, and leave the apartment without any problem. The sweetest dog kept me company when I was there :-) Recommended!
Austin and Morgan were great hosts! They responded quickly to all communication and their apartment is in a safe and inviting area Fairfax. Definitely recommend a stay with them!
Austin and Morgan are really nice people, though we don't get to chat a lot because they work the night out, but they helped us anyway they can. The dogs Sam and Andy are playfulness well behaved, we had a wonderful time there!
Austin and Morgan are very nice people.I met them just before getting some sleep, (they work in the food industry and therefore work nights), but they still took time to talk with me. Their dogs are happy to meet you, lovable things they are.
Wonderful place with a nice, clean room and comfortable air mattress. Austin and Morgan were wonderful hosts, but their schedules and mine meant I didn't get to spend as much time with them as much as I would have liked. The two golden retrievers are super well behaved and friendly, hardly a bother if you like dogs even a little bit. The room has a small desk with WiFi and plenty of books for you to read if you just need a quiet evening by yourself.
I'm moving to the area, and I'll definitely be looking Austin and Morgan up to hang out with them in the future!
Austin and Morgan's place was very convenient to where my friends live so that was the best part for me. They were very non-obtrusive being mostly out at work. As one is staying in a part of their lived-in home, it is naturally messier that a professionally maintained hotel room. One difficulty I had was the wifi access not working for the first few days (as I was mainly relying on that while travelling) but it was fixed eventually. Also not being used to dogs, I had a bit of difficulty with getting used to having the dogs around, particularly in the bathroom! Fortunately they were very placid and friendly.
My fiancee and I stayed with Austin and Morgan for a few days while we were checking out the GMU campus (we're incoming grad students). The room was large and bright, and there was a bookcase filled with interesting books (some of which we'd ourselves read). We didn't see Austin or Morgan much at all, but this was because we were out most of the day. Note that you'll have to look around for things, and I recommend that you bring your own towels and maybe an extra pillow if you like lots of support. We ended up sleeping on the futon mattress (big enough for a couple), but we pulled it down onto the floor first. There's dog hair, which you'd expect from a household with two big goldens, so bring a lint brush. It was super easy to connect to the internet, and though we didn't try out the TV the setup seemed obvious. The apartment is in a nice wooded complex, quiet, and near lots of shops, restaurants, old town Fairfax, etc. We liked the apartment enough and its location that we are considering renting in the complex ourselves.
Great hosts! I was there with my boyfriend for two days! It was really nice there and Morgan used to always call us and ask If we need a ride. She would take us from d.c. home when she could. So nice and really welcoming. I would come back again.
