At one of the best locations possible within Manhattan, this gem of an apartment provided us with a good homebase for exploring the city that never sleeps. Although some parts (kitchen, bathroom) might need a makeover in due time, the bed - which for us is the most important piece of furniture during a stay - was the most comfortable I've ever slept in during an airbnb-stay. Simply perfect!
The moment you step outside you're right in the middle of famous NoLiTa / Soho, with great bars, restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The owner, Mia, was very communicative and responsive to questions during our stay. WiFi was very smooth within the apartment as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone that really wants to live the New York-experience!
We had a great stay in Mia's apartment in Nolita. Mia was very friendly and great to deal with, and very kindly made arrangements to enable us to stay longer than we originally planned. The apartment is very comfortable and a great base from which to explore NYC. The immediate area has lots of excellent restaurants, bars and shops, and is walking distance from all downtown sights. Definitely recommended!
Great location! The apartment was clean and comfortable. Mia was very quick to answer and she made it really easy to make all the necessary arrangements.
I definitely recommend it!
This is a great place to stay. Close to all the things to do in SoHo and NoLite. You can walk everywhere and the place is really nice as well.
Me and my boyfriend were supposed to stay in Mia's apartment during a week-long visit in NYC over the New Years, but as all the domestic flights to NYC were cancelled due to heavy snow, my boyfriend couldn't join until a few days later, so it ended up just being me staying there alone for the first part of the trip. Mia's charming, cosy studio - beautifully decorated - immediately made me feel at home. I feel immensely lucky that I got to stay there. Staying in that kind of typical old NYC brick house with a fire escape ladder outside the window was a dream come true. And the location couldn't have been more perfect! Further down the street, it was crammed with Italian restaurants and a lot more noisy, but this part of the street was surprisingly calm at night, the only noise coming from people chatting outside the bar across the street, but that was hardly a nuisance.
Although there were multiple subway stops nearby, I didn't take the subway until my boyfriend had finally joined me after 3 days, because a lot of the places I had been wanting to see turned out to be within walking distance: Chinatown (just a few blocks away), Brooklyn Bridge, Greenwich Village, East Village, Flatiron Building, a bunch of great vintage stores, cafés, diners and restaurants I had heard about (I often just happened to stumble across them by chance), and more. Mia’s place was the perfect base for all kinds of NYC adventures.
Mia was quick to answer our last minute request at the airbnb standby list and give us a good offer, and although she had to get to the airport just two hours later, she took the time to give me all the necessary information and some helpful tips and dining recommendations (the pizza place downstairs really was terrific!), and when I arrived at the apartment she had even left a welcoming note and some Christmas candy. Her super who gave me the key and let me in was a terrific, helpful guy. The apartment was clean and the bed comfy and everything - Wifi, cooking facilities, shower etc. - worked great. I highly recommend Mia’s place, I’d definitely stay there again! My first airbnb experience couldn't have been better!
Mia and her husband are a lovely couple. They treated my apartment as their home leaving it totally neat and clean. I would like to host them again. Hope them enjoy my place.
Mia is incredibly genuine, sincere and accommodating. She goes out of her way to make sure that every person is well taken care of and her apartment is absolutely charming. Great space, fantastic location and safe!
