Nate was a great host, even though we never had the chance to meet with him in person. He was quick to answer emails and help us with any questions we had. The apartment is in a great location - across the street from the metro, and only a short walk away from shopping and bars; there's even a great bagel place right downstairs. We drove in and found parking close by without much trouble. Nate's place was truly wonderful for our short stay - perfect for anyone looking to explore the surrounding neighborhood or a venture into the city!
Nate was, is great! Very kind and always ready to reply to our information request.
He was not in the apartment when we arrived, but he let us find all what we needed.
The apartment is in a very comfortable position, very very close to the subway (R line that takes you to Manhattan).
It is not far from the pubs and restaurant of Brooklyn 5th Avenue.
A good place where to stay during your vacation in the amazing NYC
We stayed here for 8 nights as a couple. As a location Park Slope is the calm you need to balance running around the city and we can't recommend Nate enough as a host.
Apartment: It is exactly as shown in the pictures: warm, cozy and spacious. What you can't see in the pictures is that the bed is really comfortable and the shower works great! Also Nate's apartment is right above a delicious bagel shop and a convenient train (metro) stop.
Nate: Nate was a superb host. Before arrival, he answered emails immediately in a clear, friendly and professional manner. He was very accommodating in asking our needs and ensuring a smooth key pick-up. While we were in New York, we called him once to ask something and he answered right away and was helpful. We never met but can easily say Nate made a big effort to make our stay comfortable.
Nate was really friendy and welcoming. He wasn't there to check us in to the place but made sure the key was there upon arrival and provided some food and snacks in the kitchen, which made us feel welcome instantly. We had good contact throughout the entire stay via email and he replied almost rightaway every single time. The place is lovely: a bit old but super clean and cozy. The location is fantastic: safe neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants and the subway is 5 seconds away. We were with 3 guests so one of us had to sleep on the air matress, which was comfy nonetheless. I would definately come back anytime!
Nate was a great host; very responsive, accommodating, and thoughtful. His apartment was fairly large, with a very comfy bed and nice living space. Henry is very cute and playful. It was a great place for my boyfriend and me to stay while visiting friends in the city.
Nate's place is incredibly convenient to the subway, in a very walkable neighborhood, and is the perfect apartment for any solo traveler or couple. The kitchen is like nothing I've ever seen in NYC -- huge, sunny, welcoming -- and his wireless speaker setup is very cool! I drove in and easily found parking less than a block away. I felt very safe at all times, and the noise level was comfortable. Henry, Nate's cat, proved to be a great roommate for the few days I was there. Nate was friendly, communicative, and overall a great host. I can't recommend him or his apartment highly enough.
Nate was very personable and friendly and very accommodating.
The ideal AirBnB for NYC. My girlfriend and I were driving down from Boston for a weekend so needed a comfortable place with good parking options and an easy commute to downtown. Nate's apartment was just what we were looking for. Despite the short notice we gave him, it was clean and ready for us. We arrived midday on Friday and found a (free) parking spot straight away - directly opposite. The apartment is spacious (especially for NYC), nicely set-up, and has everything you need - from coffee to a widescreen TV with Netflix and HBO GO. Nate was very responsive and attentive. Last but not least, the commute to downtown was no problem - there is a station right next to the apartment building with direct links to Manhattan.
This is a railroad apartment as Nate says, the living room in front, then the bedroom and the kitchen in the back. The building is old and not in the best repair but Nate takes care of his guests and everything was neat and tidy - except the unwashed laundry! It is acceptable but we will try to look for better opportunities next time!
We didn't get a chance to stay at Nate's place (since we canceled due to scheduling changes), but can recommend him as a host. He was responsive to all our messages and made sure we'd be comfortable when we came in.
