I'm from Virginia, have a range of interests, and excited to get into the AirBNB community.
Looking forward to talking to new people.
This is a railroad apartment as Nate says, the living room in front, then the bedroom and the kitchen in the back. The building is old and not in the best repair but Nate takes care of his guests and everything was neat and tidy - except the unwashed laundry! It is acceptable but we will try to look for better opportunities next time!
We didn't get a chance to stay at Nate's place (since we canceled due to scheduling changes), but can recommend him as a host. He was responsive to all our messages and made sure we'd be comfortable when we came in.
Nate was a great host, very responsive and accommodating in helping me set up a place near my apartment for my brother to stay. My brother loved the apartment and reported that it was very clean and well appointed, and he appreciated the note and the check-in from Nate to make sure his stay was going well. The apartment is in a great location near the restaurants and stores of 5th Avenue, and a few blocks from the park. Definitely recommend.
Nate's apartment and Nate were both great. He was very responsive to email and we had no issues coordinating keys, etc. The place was totally spacious enough for 3 people. Nate had the air mattress all set up (+foam top) for our third and even left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. The apartment is in a great part of town - literally across the street from the Union Street metro stop and above a popular BBQ restaurant and yummy bagel shop.
Nate was a gracious host. He was easy to get in contact with and quick to reply. The apartment was exactly as described. It is an old walk-up railroad apartment in Brooklyn with all the expected wear, tear and quirks. Nothing fancy, but the bed is comfortable and the location is convenient.
The neighborhood is lovely and very easy to get around. There is a great natural food grocery right on the corner if you want to cook at home (which we did) and the subway stop is right there too.
Nate, Thanks for sharing your spot with us for the weekend!
