Elisa is not only an amazing host, but an extraordinary human being. An angel of nature who understands the need to refresh one's mind, body and spirit from the rigors of modern-day business. The accommodations were pristine and so artistically comforting that we didn't want to leave. The high rise bed was beyond comfortable like a pillar of sleep-heaven with luxury linens. Her wonderful home is minutes away from the beautiful Napegue bay. She provided us with insight, recommendations and directions to Montauk, Sag Harbor among other local breathtaking attractions. We didn't want to leave, and, you'll want to make this your home away from home in East Hampton. If you love nature, peace & quiet, then this is a special place for your mind, body and spirit.
Elissa was happy to share her cozy and beautifully decorated space with us on a rainy overnight trip to the Springs--a wonderfully forgotten, secluded, and serene area that is a welcome respite from the typical touristy vibe and traffic of the Hamptons. Walking access to the beach makes this location more than perfect; art enthusiasts will enjoy its proximity to the Pollock/Krasner house where you can see where Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner made their abstract expressionist magic happen over half a century ago. Deer and wild turkey roam the quiet streets and duck in and out of the woods of the region, which was a big hit with our kids (ages 2 and 5) who don't often get to see wildlife in their own backyard! Elissa's space is appointed with a variety of decorative pieces of artwork and antique furniture, which adds to its overall charm. The room we stayed in was spacious and the beds were super comfortable--a real luxury with comfy linens, fluffy pillows, and superior quality mattresses. Although I was not there for romantic purposes, and I can vouch for its appeal if you were to choose this listing for a getaway for two. With the kids in tow, I was fortunate to have Elissa's infamous hospitality on my side. My boys were taken by her immediately--they were very comfortable in her presence, and happy to chat with her about their adventures in the area. I must add that while Elissa's presence was a plus for us, she also gave us adequate space to do our own thing while staying in her house. In addition, Elissa made us a fire in her fireplace upon request, provided us with directions for a scenic drive to Montauk, suggested activities for us to do in the vicinity, and made a delicious hot breakfast with fresh strawberries and citrus fruits the next morning. Overall, it was a positive, high quality experience. Highly recommended!
Excellent hostess with a lovely home, everything was just right!
Unfortunately due to a major GPS malfunction we were extremely late to arrive and left very early so were unable to avail ourselves of Elissa famous hospitality. The beds and bathrooms were extremely clean and comfortable.
You have to visit the Hamptons to feel the spirit of that place. Everything what you don't like is just not there.
What a peaceful and wonderful place.
The house is very stylish, warm and comfortable. Makes you feel at home.
The bed is very comfortable (the only bad thing about it is that you have to get up somewhen ;-)).
We won't get in details :-) but let us tell you: PHENOMENAL
Elissa is a wonderful host. Elissa cared about us upon arrival and while we stayed perfectly, helped us with recommendations.
Elissa is a thoughtful host. The house is a ways from the ocean, great place for quiet contemplation.
From the moment I first heard back from Elissa, she was helpful and accommodating. She was able to give us lots of suggestions and was very helpful since we were new to the area. There are not enough words to describe how positive the experience was. All we can say is thank you and we look forward to crossing paths again in the near future.
It was a pleasant to stay at Elissa's house. The room is very cozy, we feel like home. She was very nice to provide us where we could go sightseeing in East Hampton, Montauk, as well as restaurant recommendation. Thank you!
Oh, this was such a wonderful experience. We arrived too late and had to leave too early to get to enjoy Elissa's house and conversation as much as we would have liked to. But we will come back.
Elissa made everything so very easy, she had many ideas about what to do, where to go, what and where to eat, how to get to places, and she even kept helping us via text throughout the day after we had long checked out.
Elissa's house is beautiful, located on a quiet road very close to the water. The perfect place to spend your time in East Hampton.
Elissa's place was immaculate and cozy. I was not in town for very long at all but the arrangements worked out perfectly. It was quiet but very close to town and to the race I needed to get to at the crack of dawn in Montauk the next morning. I'd definitely stay again.
Elissa was a great guest. She was really easy to communicate with for checking in and out of my apartment. Plus, she left my apartment sparkly clean! I wouldn't hesitate to host her again.
I really enjoyed having Elissa stay and getting to know her. She left the room very clean and was easy to communicate before arrival ... Definately recommend to future hosts and look forward to staying at her place in the hamptons
Elissa is a returning guest and also a host herself. She is a friend and kind soul, and always adds value to my home with her suggestions. She is an excellent guest, tidy and communicative. Elissa is welcome back to my home anytime!
Could not recommend Elissa's home more enthusiastically! Everything was exactly as advertised, and she went above and beyond to make my husband and I comfortable. We loved grilling out and enjoying meals outside on her deck, as well as quietly relaxing in our room while reading - which was comfortable and cozy in every way. The location is tucked away but still very convenient to everything the Hamptons have to offer. We are really excited to go back sometime this Fall and I'm happy to know Elissa - next time we stay it will be that much more enjoyable with the familiar face of our wonderful hostess!
