I was very disappointed in Ryan's apartment. It was dirty! The kitchen and bathroom were disgusting. The shower curtain had mold on it, the tub had not been cleaned and the floor was dirty. The kitchen sink and stove had dried food on them. We were not sure if the bedding was clean, so we borrowed bedding from my son along with towels and washcloths. In order to stay there, we had to clean the bathroom and kitchen sink. We did not touch the stove. I would not recommend Ryan's apartment to anyone.
Our overall experience staying at this apartment was positive. My husband and I had some trouble in the beginning because Ryan had left us messages via email regarding where to find the key ect. The problem was that due to glitches in my smartphone i wasn't getting emails. I would have preferred just messages via text. Also, the front door locking system was tricky and should be fixed. Nice neighborhood, a little loud on friday night, close to the "L" metro system, about 25 minutes away from central downtown area
Good location and neighborhood with a grocery nearby, safe streets, express bus downtown (147) and subway both nearby. The apartment was pleasant and had ample space. Just a nice experience.
A whole apartment is always better than one room. This place as well as the area was exploding with character. The apartment is 2 blocks from the L train and 2 blocks to Lake Michigan on the other side. The neighborhood is very clean, well lit (even the alley's) and seems very safe to me even late evening. There is an amazing coffee shop called the Metropolis 1 block away to the NW. Home grown seriously artistic vibe to the coffee shop. I highly recommend hanging there in the mornings. If you need a beer or want to watch a game, go to the Double Bubble a few blocks north west on the main drag. Low prices and friendly people.
Great host, great location. The apartment is a nice little studio, right by the red line and just a couple of minutes walk from hollywood beach. Ryan was super easy to coordinate with. I'd stay here again when I'm passing through Chicago.
Ryan's place was perfect. It's clean and comfortable and very conveniently located, close to the Red line, Dominick's and the lake. Ryan was very helpful and accommodating. I will definitely try to stay at Ryan's apartment on my next visit to Chicago.
Loved staying at Ryan's. Spacious and close to the Red Line. Safe, quiet neighborhood, very beautiful too. Close to the beach. Close to convenience stores and a supermarket. It has the best coffee shop in all of Chicago (Metropolis) nearby. Bed was comfortable, bathroom super clean. Would come back anytime– absolutely recommended.
I really had a great time in Ryan's appartment ideally located near Hollywood beach and the red line of the metro . Ryan is easy to contact and answers quickly.
Ryan (email hidden) -- he was really accommodating and his place is comfortable.
A small place with all the basic needs covered. The kitchen doesn't have a kettle so be aware tea drinkers! The AC was on for us when we arrived which was nice.
Great location for walks along the beach.
My friend and I stayed in this apartment for a week and we truly
enjoyed it. The apartment was immaculate when we checked in. It had
everything that we needed for our stay and at this price it was quite
a deal. It's located on a very quiet street and yet just a short walk
to Lincoln Park, Hollywood Gay Beach and the Lakefront which is
perfect for jogging and biking. There are several bus lines that stop
just around the corner and the train is only a block away. The host
was very professional, helpful and available anytime we had some
questions. This was our first visit to Chicago and we'd love to come
