nice honest friendly outgoing student wanting to explore the world :)
We had a great time becoming friends with & hosting Jared. Really easy going, funny and quick to help Jared is like a member of the family and we're looking forward to him coming to Madrid again and seeing him in 2013 in Salt Lake Utah
Hosting Jared has definitely NOT been a nice Airbnb experience, specially after reading his reveiw, which is the first bad review we've had in two years!
He was delayed more than 8 hours and he didn't even say anything. And I'm sorry but it's a LIE that we were mad at him. I personally received him and told him there was no problem cause that day I was working from home. then he said he even had a rum and coke at the bar downstairs before knocking knowing that we were waiting for him all day! Even though I was not pissed, if that is what he thought. I have better things to do.
I really don't think the flat was not clean, but I understand that's a matter of points of view. Anyway it's sad he didn't think about telling us what he thought instead of waiting for the review. It's impossible to solve the problem that way.
About not talking too much with him... I just can say that we were in the middle of a really busy month working a lot. David wasn't even home for must of the days, so it's difficult for me to think he could make Jared feel uncomfortable. Didnt have many time to spend with him but we like to give our guests independence and space. Many many times we become friends with them. We keep in touch with some of them. Some others we dont. With him there was not feeling at all.
The day he left we were home. I heard the door and came to tell him i I was not sure if I could be there for the checkout, and I realized he was just leaving with his baggage without even saying anything.
We don't understand this kind of guests. And of course WE DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM AS A GUEST AT ALL.
Its sad but this has definitley been a very bad Airbnb experience!
