Looking for unique places to stay
Working in Hospitality has been a truly enlightening and eye opening experience. I count myself as one of the lucky few who get the chance to meet people from literally all countries, walks and personality types. My hosting experience of Anjali reminded me of that fact. Anjali booked my 2br apt which was then set up as a one bedroom + home office, as it clearly states in the description. I told her that I would work with her to create a more comfortable environment for her family and would buy a second queen size mattress for the home office just for her. All good. Agreed and booked. There were countless emails regarding many questions, then a demand for a late checkout, questions about dining and shopping, and then two different airport transfers on the same day etc etc. All of Anjali's messages were brash and rude in tone, though we're quite used to working with this kind of person and passed it off with a smile. Anjali arrived at the apartment and immediately started snapping at my Property Manager, "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?" when she saw just washed towels drying on the service balcony. "OH! A MATTRESS ON THE FLOOR?!" “THIS PLACE IS JUST TOO FAR! WE WANT TO BE IN THE CENTER!” She then demanded to speak directly with me, and I called her shortly thereafter. Anjali voiced her displeasure for the accommodation and I listened with empathy when she described her family needs and then agreed to refund her money - even though the cancellation policy which she agreed to when booking the apartment nixed that option. We aim to please and I therefore satisfied her latest demand. After her departure, I was called to the apartment by the maid who pointed out a dirty nappy left on the bed, in addition to used towels and bed linens. We are also missing a set of keys, which Anjali claimed was never delivered. I calmed the maid and wrote off the experience and forgot about the whole mess until today Anjali decided to leave a very negative and nasty review - a review for my apartment where I bought a new mattress for her, she did not stay, and for which she then had her money refunded. To future hosts entertaining the thought of renting to Anjali, please email me directly for more information as I won’t go into more detail here. DO NOT RENT TO THIS PERSON. Anjali, people like you are thankfully fewer than 1% of the guests we host. We do what we do because we love it and guest satisfaction is our raison d’etre. Bullying my staff and then acting like a spoiled six year old on the phone with me might work for you in the short term, but I do hope you’ll consider your actions and realize that this is a business, and being fair and reasonable does matter in all walks of life. Just because you CAN doesn’t mean you...
Anjali Family and friends were great guests. Three children under 7 years of age really enjoyed the pool and projector TV.
They all were a real joy to have at the villa.
Ms. Kapoor and her family were wonderful guests at our villa in Thailand. I would welcome them back anytime.
Dear Anjali, thank you very much for having chosen my location - you're always very welcome. Best wishes, Jörg
