April L has chosen to blatantly misrepresent the circumstances, forcing a response. Big sigh. Not pleasant. Here goes:
From the outset, April L was just plain dishonest. In seeing that the property limits to a maximum of 4 people, in April's messages and her reservation request, she intentionally misrepresented that they were a total of "4 Attorneys". April L liked to mention the part about being attorneys. She used this phrase repeatedly. Perhaps, she believed that it will give an impression of maturity and integrity. Regretfully, April turned out to demonstrate little of either.
Within the first twelve hours of her arrival, April L had already 1) Lied about the number of people staying at the house 3) blocking neighbors in by parking in front of their driveways, and 4) Blasting music outside until 3:30 am to the point that people on the next block over actually were awoken.
Contrary to what April stated, my next door neighbors did NOT call the police on them.
Contrary to what April stated, and referring to the "racist" comment, which I feel compelled to address, April was playing rap music at 3 am filled with profanity, the "N" word and vulgarity. No judgement. But, there are kids next door, and at 3 am, they were forced to hear this, even through ear plugs. Their father is a music producer. There's is no mistake about what was being played and it's inapproriateness considering the time of night and the volume it was being played. Ray LaMontagne may have been on the play list... but a moot point, all things considered. It was a volume issue for the very late hour. 3:30 am.
When I inquired about the incident the next morning, April L was belligerent, unapologetic and actually angry, that their party had been interrupted. It was like I was dealing with a spoiled, whiney teenager that kept repeating something about them all being attorneys. The value of that mantra still escapes me.
April was offered to stay, if she would simply keep the noise to respectable level when outside after midnight. April choose to leave. Later, I realized why... as people began to arrive for her party.
