Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY I now live in New Jersey but I get to my home in San Antonio as much as I can. When I'm not there, I'd love to share my home with you so you can enjoy San Antonio as much as I do!

Donna's place was perfect for what we needed. The house was clean and comfortable. The check-in/out process was easy. Donna and her friend Chris are easily accessible if needed. I would definitely recommend staying here- in fact we were disappointed to see the house was already booked when we have to return in May.
Chris was waiting at the house for us, gave us a tour, and was very helpful! He and Donna provided great communication and the place was just what we needed for a little getaway!
Donna's place was perfect! It is a very charming little home, exactly as described. I stayed here with my kids, and we had a great time. It really is like a 3-bedroom home, as the porch is completely closed in and part of the house. It just has a glass door, which does not provide much privacy, but my daughter didn't mind.
The location of the home was also perfect for us--a very short drive to the zoo and Witte museum, as well as to downtown. The neighborhood was a little older, but we felt perfectly safe, and there was a nice row of little restaurants and antique shops right down the street.
The house had everything we needed, but I didn't pay attention to the fact that it had no dishwasher, and since we ate most every meal at the house, I was doing a lot of dishes! I would still definitely stay here again--a great experience.
Donna and Chris were AMAZING! Their wonderful hospitality combined with this special home was exactly what we needed! Upon first glance, I was hesitant about the neighborhood but we had such a pleasant stay and no concerns whatsoever! We were centrally located and close enough to downtown. Being in the local neighborhood also allowed us the opportunity to enjoy some of the amazing restaurants that are not often on the radar for tourists.
The host made the welcoming process very easy as the person who greeted us was very flexible about our arrival time. He showed us through the house and left 2 keys. Nice to have a washer dryer in-house.
Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. We enjoyed our stay very much and found it convenient to drive down the highway about 10 minutes to get to everything we wanted.
The rental fee reflected the neighborhood which was definitely working class but very quiet and felt safe. I walked to the neighboring shops and the shopkeepers were all very pleasant.
Would I stay here again? Absolutely.
Donna's home was spacious, clean, and a wonderful place to call home for the time me and my family stayed there. Great location to any points in the city, and very close to downtown. House has everything you need from washer and dryer, to a full kitchen. Very cozy, very lovely. I would definitely stay there again. Donna was always available as well as her friend Chris if we needed anything. Great host, great home. Thanks Donna!
Had a great stay at this house. Chris met us at the house early and showed us around. Everything was clean and well organized and the house was very well furnished. Didn't use the kitchen or washer/dryer but it all looked really nice. The drive to downtown only took about 10 to 12 minutes on average which was great. Donna's place definitely fit my needs for the weekend!
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Donna and Chris were both accommodating and welcome, and very responsive to our questions and requests. The house was comfortable, and provided a great home base for adventures in SA. It's also in a great location -- close to plenty of restaurants and a cheap cab/uber ride to downtown. Highly recommended.
Chris and Donna were very helpful and responded to my request right away. Chris met us at the house and showed us around. He was very hospitable and kind.
Even though apartment was old and needed a little touch of renovation - it served us well. It was warm and comfortable.
The only two things that disturbed me were: the neighborhood and distance from the downtown. I do not think it is a good place if you don't rent or own a car, but once you have one it will take you only 10 minutes to get to the city on the highway.
Neighborhood was a little not welcoming, and I was happy that I had an economy car instead of Mercedes E class. I was feeling a little uncomfortable walking around the city, knowing that my personal belongings were all by themselves in the house.
But again, it was a spacious apartment and I didn't have any problems. Plus, I've noticed that there is a governmental program running in the area, called Good Neighborhood. So, this place will become much better very soon.
Overall, this was a great place to stay. Our hosts, Donna and Chris, were very welcoming. We weren't initially sure when we would arrive, but Chris was able to meet us and gave us a tour of the house. Chris was also very responsive any time we had questions.
We were in San Antonio for a convention downtown, and this house was close enough to downtown to be convenient, though far enough away to be a good retreat from the crowds. At first glance, the neighborhood looks a bit sketchy, but we never had a problem, though we spent most of our time downtown, so we didn't really explore the area.
The house itself was nice. Everything was clean when we arrived. The house was well stocked, with plenty of towels, sheets, pillows, cups, plates, etc. We did not make use of the washer and dryer, but it was nice to know that we could have. Also, the addition of the futon (and my air mattress) meant that the four of us had our own place to sleep, which was great. Overall, this was a great choice for our business trip.
AMAZING so kind and understanding of the occasional chaos of teh electrician coming when he feels like it:)
Donna has stayed with us several times and is always wonderful. She is welcome back any time.
Donna was a great guest. She was very respectful of our place. We look forward to hosting Donna again in the future.
Donna was my first Airbnb guest and she left a fabulous first impression to this style of hosting travelers! Donna arrived at my Portland rental on time (minus the flight delay, which she kindly kept me updated on) and was an excellent guest. She stayed in my apartment for a week, and when I returned everything was just as I had prepared it for her stay, except the linens which she graciously stripped from the bed & left in the closet hamper with her towels. I would gladly host Donna again anytime and happily give her two thumbs way up !!
Donna was a great guest and left everything in good condition. She is welcome back any time.
Donna was an excellent guest. She communicated very well regarding her arrival (told us just as soon as she learned of an flight delay). Donna was very quiet and respectful, and she took great care of our place, leaving it extremely clean. We would gladly welcome her back on a future trip to SF.
Donna was a great guest, respectful and communicative. She left the place exactly how she found it - clean, tidy and honestly you couldn't even tell they had been there!
We would definitely have her back again.
Donna is the kind of renter you hope for, treats things like they were her own .
Donna was great as always. Its always a joy to have guests like her. Very easy going and leaves the place spotless....
Donna was a very kind and considerate guest. She even removed the bed linen from the bed upon her departure, which was not required but much appreciated. I hope all my future guests are as considerate as she was during her stay.
Donna is great! What a positive attitude, always laughing and smiling. She's a mother and an owner of several pets and manages to do it all with a great spirit. It's a pleasure to know Donna.
Donna and I were roomies during our training week at Airbnb and it was great to be 'thrown together' with someone who was so easy to get on with and instantly likeable. Donna is friendly, wam and has a great sense of humour. She's interesting to talk to and equally interested in learning more about you.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Donna to hosts and other Airbnb members.
Donna and I have the pleasure of being friends, soccer moms and active busy bodies in our little suburban life. We have spent the last 4 years coming, going and chatting while wrangling kids, and trying to have a life. Donna has spent the last few years turning her historic home into a vibrant hub of activity. I would love to spend a day sleeping in and roll out of bed to a warm cup of coffee in her cozy new kitchen. Granted there might be a few warm licks from the dogs and a few high fives from the tweens but it would be a stay to remember.
By the way she is less than 2 minutes from a train that can whisk me away to my favorite city NYC!!!!
