I am a doctor in Boston who is looking to rent his apartment for eager people wanting to visit Boston and be close to the Prudential Center.
I rented the apartment to stay with a friend for a few days in Boston. The apartment is excellently located. Concert halls and subway stations are within walking distance. The apartment is convenient with two queen size beds, kitchen and full bath.
The neighborhood is a bit noisy, but within limits, considering that this is an urban neighborhood.
As other reviewers have noted, the place was not particularly clean. But besides that it was just fine, and I would recommend it (unless you are a clean freak!).
Great Location!! Accommodation was like a college dorm- comfortable & including the basics. Vikrum was very nice to deal with. We had a pleasant stay- Thanks!!
The place was dirty. There was a lot of noise since there was a construction going on around the place. The owner just gave us one apartment´s key and that was a huge problem. We were not supossed to tell the doorman that we are renting the apartment and so we could no enter the building without the key. Everything was really strange.
I would not recommend staying in this apartment. The apartment sits right next to a huge construction site, and work started around 5:30 AM while we were staying there; all in all, this meant we got *very* little sleep.
Our host hadn't warned us about this fact -- had he done so, we certainly would have reconsidered. In fact, it was so noisy that we left one day earlier. At first, the host apologized and made a gesture towards refunding us partly for that night; but later on, he simply ignored our e-mails and phone calls, and never ended up giving us the refund -- a disheartening experience. It's obviously not his fault that it's so noisy, but at least he could have warned us; and ignoring us at the end is simply unsympathetic.
The apartment was just like the pictures. There were no surprises. I just felt a little more at home after I cleaned the bathroom by myself.
Overall a very positive experience. The apt was big and comfortable as advertised. We had our privacy and no restrictions other than keeping the place clean.
Great location and close to public transportation. The building and apartment were great.
The apartment is really nice, however it was not completely clean which was a let down at first but the host responded really quickly and took care of the issue. The location is great and building is fantastic too, the gallery downstairs hosts exhibitions sometimes. Decent stay!
It is really a fantastic flat - good setting and close to Boylsten and other areas to go out. They were doing renovations/building in the block across the road which was a bit noisy in the morning, but other than that a fantastic place/stay.
Very Nine apartment. Not far from public transportation
Stayed for a night and it was overall a positive experience. Dr Vikrum was understanding and allowed us to check out an hour later when requested. Apartment was spacious and comfortable just as it looks in the photos. The subway is within walkable distance. The location was safe and peaceful.
The only slight drawbacks are the construction sounds in the morning. Also, the apartment floor and windows were slightly dusty. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed our stay at the apartment.
Place was spacious and lots of light, Vikrum is really nice. Great location close to transportation.
I can attest to the current construction across the street and the bathroom needing to be a more fresh.
Overall great for cost!
Vikrum is a very nice host. His apartment at Tremont Street is a perfect place for short stay in Boston. It is pretty accessible taking the Green Line or Orange Line Station and takes only about 5-10 minutes short walk. It locates in a safe and residential neighborhood, but has some artsy elements to it as the building has an art gallery adjunct to it.
I was surprised when I first saw the room. It is quite spacious and clean, and has a good view of the Back Bay Area skyscrapers including the famous Hancock Center.
Vikrum has a great apartment in Boston's South End. It is conveniently located a short walk away from the prudential center and around the corner from a T station. The apartment is very spacious and has everything you need for your stay in Boston. The building is a historical landmark and the look and feel of the property is ideal. Vikrum is a great host and will surely be available to answer any questions you might have. do not hesitate to ask him for recommendations.
