We loved staying at Ferdinando's apartment in Deruta. It is in perfect condition and in a great location. We had trouble getting our rental car in Florence and arrived late. He accommodated us very well.
We just had the most perfect stay in Deruta. It´s a small and beautiful town with very little activity, but a great base to drive from to visit other towns and sightseeing spots in Umbria.
We were met and welomed by Daniele, who was ingredible nice. He also helped us within 30 minutes, when we unfortunately locked our self out of the apartment.
The apartment has EVERYTHING you need. We were surprised by how much the host had done to make us feel welcome and we couldn´t have asked for anything else.
Thank you so much for this experience. It is truly a perfect place you have. I will recommend this apartment and the locals of Deruta to anyone visiting these parts.
P.S. A special thanks to the guys from the local bar around the corner for making us feel at home as well :)
Ferdinando truly understands what his guests require in a home away from home. His recently renovated apartment is spotless, with modern conveniences in a historic building. We used Deruta as a base to explore Umbria. It was perfect. The kitchen allowed us to use local products for lunch and breakfasts. The air conditioning and washer allowed us to satisfy our creature comforts. Make sure you confirm with Fernando the best place to park.
There are no words that I can write that will do any justice to how remarkable my experience was in Deruta this past weekend. Ferdinando was away on business so he had his family friend, Cesare, and quite possibly the sweetest man in Italy meet us at the apartment. Cesare actually guided our taxi cab driver straight into the Piaza, which is simply stunning. The pictures of the apartment do no justice to how beautiful it actually is. Ferdinando had a bottle of wine and cookies in the fridge and a bowl of fruit for us upon arrival. Within 30 minutes the streets were lined with antique cars from a rally that day. The town is packed with the small local charm of ceramic shops. The sunset behind the mountains was picturesque that evening. There is a bar called Enzen around the corner, where the host, Jordi, invited us in with open arms and prepared the most memorable meal of my life. The streets at night are silent. If you are looking to party like Rome outside the Colosseum, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for total serenity, with the kindest town folk and a gracious host.......this is simply paradise. Grazie Ferdinando! Grazie Deruta! Ciao!
Ferdinando's apartment was beautifully appointed with a high quality finish. Only recently renovated, it was extremely spacious and was bliss for our family of 5 with the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We were met by Ferdinando's friends, Cesare and Daniele who were very welcoming and helpful in getting us settled. The beautiful bowl of fresh fruit and treats in the fridge were an added bonus. Deruta is a quiet historic hilltop town renowned for its ceramic wares and makes a great base for exploring other beautiful Umbrian towns close by. We were able to park our car close by at night for free. We would thoroughly recommend Ferdinando's apartment for discerning BnB travellers.
Fantastic, fully renovated apartment.. A complete six star experience... Very surprising, great value.. Thanks
