I like to catch live music and sporting events. Recently, I caught the Firefly festival, Coldplay and the Tuneyards. I have season tickets to Hockey and Basketball.
I love taking trains. Trains are the best way to travel the east coast. The bus is cheaper and will take you right to Penn station too, but there is something about catching the train that still holds my fascination.
I think cars are the bane of urban middle class existence. The taxes, the incidentals, the accidentals, the planned obsolescence, parking, maintenance, the hassles of urban car ownership can go on and on. One can not win. Yet I still have one.
I've taken to driving in the slow lane and dropping out of the pack when possible. Despite the illusion of the accelerator, the only thing one can control while driving is the space between one and vehicle traveling ahead. There no empty roads in the city. The space is shared; motion precludes ownership. What would you really do with that macadam anyway?
I like to get books at the library, give them a shot and return them unfinished if they don't work out for me.
I have no criminal record. I am allergic to cats and seafood.
