Amsterdam, friends, girlfriend, movies, sport, travelling, sun, combining my ambitions with lots of pleasure
Lovely flat in a nice, quiet suburb of Amsterdam. It's a really beautiful city and well worth a visit. Klaas and Wystke were really helpful and our stay was simple and relaxing. It's just a short ride into town. Recommended.
Highly recommended!) Klaas was very kind to meet me and to show me around. Very spacious apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Great location: close to tram stops to get to the city centre, near a supermarket and not so far from Vondelpark for those who like jogging. Overall a great experience - I can't help falling in love with Amsterdam!
In a word, amazing! We returned yesterday from a three day stay in the city. The directions we were given were from the airport were easy to follow.
Located on the first floor (the staircase is quite steep - so this may be a problem for those who are less agile), the appt is bright, airy and spacious and looks exactly how it does in the official Airbnb photographs. It is located on a quiet residential street, which is a tranquil and peaceful haven to return to after a day in the bustling city centre.
Wytske met us at the appt and showed us around. She's lovely, very personable with a great sense of humour.
A coffee shop is a stone's throw from the appt (can be seen from the front balcony) and a corner shop and takeaway is less than a 3 min walk away. A supermarket is 10 mins away, near the canal as well as a host of other local shops and places to eat.
We found it easy to get into the city centre by tram within 15 mins - tram route 1 or 17 took us exactly where we needed to go.
Klaas & Wytske left useful city guides/maps on the dining table for us to use, which were very handy.
The bedroom had an empty wardrobe for us to use to hang our clothes in and the bathroom was very nice - be careful of the steps!! LOL
The kitchen was well stocked with plates, cutlery and glasses. I found the idea of cooking with the microwave, instead of the actual cooker a bit confusing so we just stuck to heating up food in it and mainly eating out during our stay.
The balcony at back of the appt is a nice area to sit and chill out in. The neighbours are very quiet and friendly.
An important tip for the summer months - bring mosquito repellent!! I was eaten alive by mozzies, despite using the mosquito electric bat which had been left for us to use. I currently have at least 12 swollen bites which I'm nursing and my boyf has at least three.
We'd highly recommend staying here and hope to do so again in the foreseeable future.
Klaas and Wytske have an incredible apartment in a quiet, central neighborhood in Amsterdam. Though my friend and I never got a chance to meet Klaas in person, he was a fantastic host, helpful and responsive, playing a major part in making our entire trip so wonderful. From recommendations on where to eat to and where to rent a bike, to the comfort and serenity of the apartment itself, I have nothing but praise.
My friend and I felt at home immediately and were very upset the morning we had to head back to NYC.
Ha sido una grata experiencia conocer a Klaas & Wytske. Son dos jóvenes alegres y encantadores. No hemos tenido ningun inconveniente en el proceso de reserva ni durante su estadía.
Ojalá volvamos a coincidir.
