I have worked in fashion development for the past decade but I'm also a product designer for my own small business. I love to travel and try to go as often as possible. I've been a host and a guest through another site. I also have experience as a property manager. I tend to leave spaces in a better condition than I found them but I wouldn't expect this to be necessary with Airbnb. I grew up in Iceland but have lived on the west coast since 1996. Mostly in Los Angeles but also in Portland OR. I'm kind of a private person and I like quiet spaces. I'm a considerate neighbor. Loud party places are not a good fit for me, but I am a social person though and always enjoy a good conversation. I work a lot and a strong wifi is absolutely necessary for me at all times. That and a coffee maker :-)
For some reason my friends are not very active on Airbnb, they tend to not travel as much as I do, so I dont currently have a lot of connections on this site but I can provide references upon your request. There is no one favorite way of travel for me. I have driven from west coast to east coast with many stops on the way, and up and down the west coast. I love flying. I love trains and I love boats. On weekends I usually try to leave town even if just for the day. I am also a huge foodie and a really good cook. In the past few years Ive pretty much sold most of my possessions to travel lighter, I am getting more and more into it.
I am a maker and not much of a consumer except I really enjoy food and wine. I spend my money on experiences rather than possessions. I have lived in Reykjavik, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Los Angeles and Portland and my plan is to add to that list.
