Hi, I'm Tommaso.
We spent really nice holidays in this charming house. The place is very quiet, the garden and terrace are fine and Florence really not far by car. Our daughter enjoyed the swing hanging from a tree and Tommaso is a welcoming host.
We loved Tommaso 's stone cottage. I wished we had longer. Both Tommaso and his mother Bebè were lovely and very welcoming. I loved we were picking figs and walnuts from trees right outside out cottage. We found the number 23 or 23A buses the most convenient to get in to Florence from the cottage (we parked our car at the Parking Europa parking lot for 2€ per day, Tommaso will give you directions to the parking lot). Very welcoming of our toddler. Highly recommend!
The stone house is just a fantastic and beautiful place to relax and enjoy Tuscany; Florence and the Chianti area are just around the corner. We would definitely advise to have a car when you choose to stay at this place because it's quite remote (about a 5 to 10 minute drive down the hill). The owner Tomasso is very kind and helpful. Shopping for food? In Bagno a Ripoli is a supermarket, Coop. When you leave Bagno and go left, on the main street there is a huge Coop in a shopping center. Best restaurant according to us in Bagno is L'aqua cheta - great fish and pizzas. We had a great week! P.s. the olive oil that Tomasso produces from his own olives is delicious!
We spent 11 days in Tommasso's little stone house, and had a wonderful time. The location is perfect if you want to explore Tuscany and Firenze in particular. In addition it offers plenty of opportunities for nice hikes in the countryside. It is peaceful and quiet, very well equipped for self catering, and the terrace and garden is a great bonus. Tommasso and his mother were extremely kind and generous, and Tommasso had even thought of shopping for our Sunday dinner when we arrived after the shops were closed, including a bottle of wine and his own wonderful olive oil. Highlt recommended!
This was a great place; just like it looked in the photos; clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we were not able to meet Tommaso as he was away but his cousin Raffaella met us with the keys and gave us all the information we needed. She was very nice and made reservations to a nice restaurant in town for us as everything was close when we arrived. The house is about 7 kms from the village but worth the travel; a little tricky to find the turn off as it is not where you expect it but we had great directions from Tommasso; "keep going without hesitation until you see the cat in the fountain." You can leave your car at a parking lot just before the town for 2 Euros a day and take the bus to Florence. It was easy and very convenient. The bus is also 2 Euros and you can buy tickets at a Tobacco shop ahead of time; sometimes you can buy tickets from the bus driver but not always, and if you can't, don't get on; we just about got fined for not having tickets when two officers got on and started checking the passenger's tickets. We would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a calm at the end of the day. We would come again. It was superb.
We really loved this place.
- Tommaso was very helpful and provide good recommendations for restaurants and parking (Piazza Poggi is a perfect spot to park your car and visit Firenze by walk);
- Eating breakfast and dinner alfresco surrounded by a beautiful landscape;
- Great retreat from the touristy hustle in Firenze city center;
The only "drawback" is the access to the house, 10min drive on a narrow road.
Danke Liebe Tommaso

It is a very cosy and comfortable house for two persons in july
- feels cool inside day and night.
Beautiful surrondings, landscape and a nice friendly host as well.
Ideal for walking and riding mountainbike on paths that are marked in the nearby area - with fantastic panorama views.
