so sorry, I'm worried to book to Susan and her family staying in another hotel.
I stayed with Novella for a wedding nearby. She is great hostess for a lovely small house, perfect for a short weekend break. The house comfortably slept 3 of us (2 in a large double) with a nice kitchen, sitting room and decent shower.
We found it easily (when I read the instructions properly) and Novella very kindly gave us a short lift to pick up our car the morning after the wedding.
Highly recommended for short breaks.
We had a lovely stay in San Casciano in Val di Pesa. Novella is a gracious host - easy to communicate with, despite the language barrier! Some minor confusion over the washing machine, but it was resolved easily enough. Novella also arranged a fantastic wine tasting for us in a nearby town, which I highly recommend.
The barn is lovely and stayed very cool during some pretty hot Tuscan days. We had five people in the house, which was fine given it's size! There are supermarkets in San Casciano so you can stock up on supplies and cook for yourself, and it's so close to Florence - it only took us 30 minutes to drive back into the city when we checked out!
Very comfortable and everything up need under a roof.
It was a little tricky to find initially but once found easy to get back you.
I would stay here again...
Great little house in the countryside, close to Florence and right in the middle of the beautiful Chianti wine region. Two nights is definitely not enough!
Novella is a great host, met us personally and showed us around (there is a beautiful garden), and was available to quickly fix the one small problem we had.
We loved our stay in the charming town of falciani in San Casciano. Surrounded by grapevines in a quaint guesthouse it was beautiful. The wood burning stove was so nice. Novella was a kind and gracious host and even gave us a bottle of local chianti and olive oil. It is a spectacular spot! Very comfortable and cozy too!
This place is GORGEOUS and in the middle of a beautiful valley. The only problem we had was finding it because there are two roads with the same name, so make sure the host gives you accurate directions.
