Originally from Oregon, I've lived in Seattle, Washington, for about 16 years. I like reading, writing, hiking, biking, knitting, gardening, and traveling.
I own a cute little 3-bedroom house in South Seattle. I have one roommate, and don't necessarily want to add a third roommate full-time, but having interesting guests from around the world is a lot of fun. I haven't yet traveled much internationally besides Canada and Mexico, just a trip to Honduras in 1998, Ireland and England in 2000, and Bolivia, in 2012, but I love hearing about others' travels and meeting people from everywhere.
Just like the cliche of a Pacific Northwest resident, I do enjoy hiking and backpacking. If you're interested in heading out on a trail, I definitely have some favorite recommendations, and can even loan you one or two of the "Ten Essentials." And since I didn't own a car for many years, I'm pretty good at navigating around town on a bicycle.
Most importantly, I live about a 15-minute walk from the best Ethiopian restaurant in Seattle. You should eat there while you're here.
