Diane is a wonderful host.. I felt welcome before I even reached her place. Communicating with her to organise the booking was great. As Diane was very flexible to my requirements.
I was in Newcastle to watch the football and Diane's place was a lazy 15-20 walk to the stadium. The city centre is not far either. As I prefer walking Diane's place was ideal.
Titus was a treat and very welcoming too!!
Diane is a very warm and welcoming host.
I was offered a cup of tea on arrival and help with taking my cases up to my room. Diane goes the extra mile; I was touched that she offered me a lift back from a festival we both happened to be attending. The breakfast she offered was simple, but delicious. She offered additional extras: fresh orange juice, which was a lovely touch.
Travel to Diane's house is easy: the house has a bus stop almost outside, which made travel to and from the house into town very easy - and cheap; just £1.50 to get into town.
I enjoyed conversations with Diane. She is politically sound - and I felt very comfortable in her company. She is active in various community initiatives, a veracious reader and attender of literature and music events - so we had much to chat about.
Many thanks, Diane!
Diane was a wonderful host. She was friendly, welcoming, and completely helpful with all of the questions I had. The space was charming, comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for during my brief time in Newcastle. I HIGHLY recommend this space.
I booked the room on behalf of my partner, David. This is what he had to say about his stay:
Diane made me feel very welcome in her home, helping me navigate a new city, providing a delicious light breakfast each morning, and lending me a fantastic novel. Her house is in a quiet, relaxed neighbourhood with quick and easy access to the city centre and universities. Her house is very homely and comfortable (Titus the cat welcoming every time I returned). I slept well throughout my stay while attending a four-day academic conference. In terms of value for money, this is unbeatable. Diane is a gracious and friendly host, whom I enjoyed spending time with. To me, this is by far preferable to the corporate anonymity of a budget hotel. Next time I have to stay in Newcastle, this will be my first port of call.
Thanks David for your lovely review of your stay here. Much appreciated and it was great having you here. You can keep the book, or pass it on! All the best for your viva...
Diane is a very nice host. Her warm welcome made me feel at home at once. The computer is in my bedroom which is so convenient for me. Diane still spared some time chatting with me although she was busy. Thanks a lot! This experience in bnb was wonderful!
very nice experience. Friendly host.
Diane, the host, made sure I had all the information I needed in advance of my stay in her home. The property is on a main bus route in/out of the city & so it is easily accessible.
A sweet home definitely recommendable in Newcastle. 10 minutes bus from city centre, cute house with lots of mint coloured decorations, Titus the arrogant (just kidding lol) cat and above all, Diane who's nice, friendly and caring. I stayed in the guest room, which is clean and large with comfortable bed. Diane treated me with some soup the night I moved in, and it is, without a doubt, the best soup I've ever had in the UK.
I had a great time at Diane's. She made me very welcome. My room was very comfortable and her house is in a very central location with quick, easy access to town. I would definitely stay again.
I enjoyed meeting Diane. I arrived late, and we had a cup of tea and an interesting chat. I can't comment on the sofa bed as I was in what's normally her lodger's room - which was big and comfortable. Also had a lovely breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee... and got a lift to the train station, which was much appreciated as I had a lot of luggage.
It was such a pleasure to host Diane. She is a very friendly and considerate person. She stayed in our flat for five days, and we had the chance to get to know each other. It was very nice to chat with her about art, politics, work. I look forward to seeing to her again.
I sadly never got to meet Diane but she communicated well and I was able to trust my place with her while I wasn't even there. Thanks Diane -- you're welcome back any time!
Diane was a fantastic guest. We very much enjoyed her company and conversation. We would gladly host her again should she be in London again.
I really enjoyed having Diane around the house and I would have liked for her to stay even longer. She was a considerate and courteous guest, but the best part were the interesting conversations we had. I would be pleased to have her again anytime.
diane was a lovely lady she is welcome to stop here any time .
