We loved our time in Ai's apartment, it was completely perfect for us. We loved nakameguro, full of nice shops and bars, it had a lovely community neighbourhood feel while still being so close to all the action in shibuya and an easy commute to anywhere in tokyo. The cherry blossoms along the river were really (website hidden) was a great communicator and gave us some fantastic tips for restaurants and shops around the apartment, she even recommended a nearby sento for me. We would definitely recommend staying here, nakameguro and Ai's apartment were definitely one of the reasons we loved tokyo so much.
Muckey house is a great base if your priority is to be out and about. It is a very typical 1dk size old japanese apartment with a big bed. Although the owner has possessions in the flat, there is still more space than a Japanese hotel room. There is a sliding door between bedroom and eat-in kitchen which is good if you need a bit of private space. Muckey House is in a great area. Nakameguro is wonderful in cherry blossom season. There are heaps of stalls selling nibbles alongside heaps of restaurants and cafés. The cherry blossoms lining the canal are gorgeous.
This apartment is located in the best area of Tokyo for me. I used to live in Tokyo for long time, so I know Tokyo very well. Cool areas such as Nakameguro, Daikaiyama and Ebisu are all walking distance.
The apartment itself is simple and cozy. It might bet noisy sometime since its on Komazawa-Dori, however I had no problem to sleep.
Thanks, Ai !
Super cute place. Location was perfect with some great places to eat and drink a few minutes walk away, and subway also just a few minutes (website hidden) was easy to contact and quick to respond to questions, and her recommendations for places around that flat were really cool (especially Iroha sushi!).
Ai's apartment is located in a very nice calm neighborhood in Tokyo with plenty of restaurants and stores to enjoy. We didn't have a chance to meet her but we enjoyed our stay a lot and I think is a great deal for 2 people.
Muckey House is great. It's in a hip but not touristy area of Japan. Nakameguro is really clean and easy to feel at home in. Muckey house was lovely! Clean, cosy and a great size for a couple or someone going (website hidden) was quick to respond to any question we had, everything went smoothly and we had a wonderful time there. Oh yeah and the wifi is good too!
very nice clean and cozy i really enjoyed at ai's flat!
The location of Muckey House is great. Lots of options in the neighborhood for food and drink, and several very convenient groceries within a quick walk. Nakameguro station is a pleasant and quick walk away. There was way too much in this neighborhood alone for us to explore in a three day visit. I regret that we didn't plan to stay here (website hidden) was a wonderful host. She responded promptly to emails, and offered some very good suggestions for us that really helped us enjoy our visit to Tokyo even more. She met us at the apartment upon our arrival, and was very pleasant.
We had read previous reviews and came prepared with ear plugs. No problem. We hope to stay here again if we have the opportunity.
Excellent location in Nakameguro! This is a comfortable and convenient apt. that has all you need. I was impressed that the host thought to leave tea, snacks, and packets of laundry detergent for me to use. Also Ai responds quickly and is a good communicator and flexible with check-in/check-out times. Recommended!
I loved Ai's place. So cute, clean, cosy and excellently (website hidden) is a fabulous host who is extremely nice and accommodating.
Naka-meguro is a very cool area and incredibly close to other great Tokyo suburb.
I will definitely be seeing if this place is available next time I come back to Tokyo and recommend you stay here if you want an easy, funky Tokyo experience.
Ai's apartment is one of the coolest apartments you can find in Tokyo: great minimalist (or: Bauhaus-) atmosphere and definitely well-priced (if not to say: cheap). I can say this because I was living in this apartment for two years. I especially loved the soft white light coming through the great windows as well as the location. Nakameguro is one of the best areas in Tokyo, a small neighborhood but very central, 10 minutes to Shibuya. The only negative point about the apartment is the traffic-noise from the street. It never bothered me a bit because I am sleeping like a stone anyway and I actually like the feeling of living (email hidden)ly place. Only when the firefighters drive by once every couple of days it gets a bit loud. But it's also exciting. There's absolutely nothing bad I could say about this apartment, I can recommend it fully and it's the one place that I'd always want to rent when I'm back in town. Cheers!
