Our stay at Nick's apartment on UWS was fantastic. His apartment is very cozy. The location is superb. Nick is a great host. We really enjoyed our stay in NY. I hope we'll be able to stay at Nick's apartment next time we are in NYC.
We arrived in NYC on the Thursday after Sandy had hit and the place we had originally booked downtown had to cancel due to lack of power and damage. We contacted Nick and he got straight back to us saying his place was available. We recieved a very warm welcome from Nick, he told us of good restaurants ( Candle cafe, Fantastic food and great staff) and breakfast places ( Popover Cafe) in the area. The apartment is lovely a real oasis of calm in the busy city of New York. We would return from a day of touring around and immediatly feel relaxed and at home. We are very grateful to Nick for taking our booking at such short notice and making us so welcome.
It was great. A real home-away-from-home.
The location was excellent - everything close at hand.
Nick is a generous, warm and caring host and made sure that everything was just perfect.
Will certainly be back.
The moment we stepped in Nicholas apartment we felt at home. It is a comfortable, clean and well lit apartment with a warm and cozy atmosphere to it. Nicholas himself proved to be a great host and kind man. Upon arriving he welcomed us with a big hug and made sure we have all that we need and more. The four of us stayed for five days and enjoyed every moment of it. The neighborhood is nice, quiet and very family friendly. We would definitely check out Nick's place next time in the city.
We stayed in this apartment for a week and it was perfect. The apartment was beautiful, decorated tastefully and immaculate when we arrived. There are very few places in New York I would describe as peaceful but this is one. The host responded promptly and went above and beyond in order to meet an inconvenient flight time. He was so welcoming when I met him that it felt more like staying with a friend than in someone's apartment on AirBNB.
We could not have been happier with the experience and highly recommend Nick and the apartment. Just be prepared that it will indulge fantasies about living the NY life.
I really felt like I got lucky with Nicholas and his spacious (1) bedroom APT on the UWS. I had given Nick my flight time and he called after we had landed to make sure we had made it safely and were on our way. I was traveling with my fiance` and another female friend. Nick met us in front of the apartment--a stones throw from Central Park and Riverside Park (Hudson River). The apartment was spotless--this was very important to us. The bed was more comfortable than the 5 star hotel we subsequently stayed at in Washington DC. You have a choice between a large comfortable sleeper sofa and a equally comfortable air matress.
There is a full fuctional kitchen--also very clean and a very clean barthroom that has very good water pressure and very hot water.
The aprtment was surprisingly quiet--I mean the neighborghood itself is quiet but it is NY so one would expect intende sounds of a big city--not so.
Nick sugested some restaurants to try and a couple of nieighborhood markets--don't pass on Zabars. We were in NY to attend the USC vs. Syrycuse football game at Giant Stadium. He provided us with clear directions on how to get there.
The overall experience inside the apartment was one of complete peace--the perfect balance to the enegry of NYC. When you meet Nick you will see and feel his Light--the perfect balance to the NY the "Hey buddy move your ass"
