We took a weekend trip to San Francisco to celebrate my wife's birthday. Scott's affordable, tidy apartment is in a great location central to both walkable points of interest (Golden Gate Park, Inner Sunset) and transit lines to the rest of SF (Mission, Hayes Valley, & Embarcadero). Scott made the reservation, check-in, and check-out processes simple as can be, for which we are so grateful. We would definitely stay again.
Great pied-a-terre for a conference in San Francisco. Loved being so close to Golden Gate Park for runs in the morning. (I didn't have time to go, but the location is very close to the de Young Museum and the California Academy of Sciences, so that would be fun too.) Scott was super helpful about arrangements for getting into the apartment. Very happy to have been there!
PROS: Location is perfect, right next to USF and the 5 MUNI Line. The size of the studio was just right and it's also facing a small garden and another apartment complex which is nice for security.
CONS: Could be much cleaner, especially since a cleaning fee is included. I found dust on the corners of the pillows on the bed and a ton of dead moths in the living room light fixture. It was really cold and the small portable heater that was there didn't do much. The fridge and shower had left over food and soap from previous tenants and that was just off putting.
I also didn't receive any information on the lock box whereabouts for the keys or instructions on how to get into the studio until an hour AFTER I had arrived at SFO; even though I contacted the owner days prior. Luckily my ride was late, so it bought the owner some time to finally call me back, but if he hadn't, I would have booked another hotel for sure. Just unprofessional in my opinion.
Don't mean to diss this apartment at all, it is cute and well located but needs improvement, especially for the price. I think with a good deep cleaning, some spruced up bed linens and a more organized host, it could be perfect.
Scott's apartment completely lived up to our expectations! Perfect size for 2 people, beautiful light through windows surrounding the whole space that looks out onto a backyard with lots of greenery. Scott was so helpful with meeting up to give us the keys/a short tour of the apartment, and even had some food available for us in the cupboard! His place is located in the perfect SF neighborhood, the panhandle/NOPA area, surrounded by all the classic victorians and close to all the buses you need to go anywhere in the city very quickly. Great experience all around, thanks Scott!
Really lovely apartment in a fantastic location!Scott was incredibly accommodating and made the whole process very easy. The bagels, beer and milk were also greatly appreciated after a long plane trip! Would definitely recommend staying here :)
Scott's place was as advertised and was clean. We enjoyed our short stay here as it was in a good location for living like a local rather then a tourist which is what we were going for - however there is a 5 bus that takes you right downtown for 2$ (transfers also last a couple hours).
Scott had clean towels and sheets for our arrival as well as beer, bagels and other treats stocked in the fridge. Our flight was also delayed an extra day over thanks giving weekend but Scott was flexible on our check in time and made it work.
Only downside was the window in the bathroom is borked and was not able to be close properly so it would get cold in the morning/overnight.
Overall we enjoyed the stay and would recommend it
The apartment has an ideal location; a calm and nice area to live in, but just a short walk away from the lively Haight street, and a 20-30 minute walk to the Mission district. The apartment itself is very clean, "homy" and has everything you need (Upon arrival, Scott had even filled the fridge with beer and supplies for us to eat/drink!).
Scott was very helpful and flexible and was very easy to get in touch with when needed, great host.
Appartement chaleureux, accueil et communication parfaits! Lit petit pour un couple,et le matelas gagnerait à être changé. nous suggérons aussi la pose de rideaux, et l'achat d'une cafetière. Ceci étant, nous recommandons cet appartement.
First experience with Airbnb and all was perfect!
Apartment well located, calm and clean!
We really appreciated the bagels and food left by Scott for us at our arrival.
Scott was a great guest. They left the house in perfect order.
Scott was not present for this stay but his friends were great guests, super nice and super clean!!!
They were great about the mix up on location (some times dealing 3rd party things get confusing) but it all rolled off there shoulders like world travelers...
I would always welcome these guys back to any of my places, and highly recommend them to other hosts as A+ guests.
