I'm 36, a SF native, and an avid out doors person and culture seeker. I'm an art consultant, curator and bartender. (website hidden)
The apartment was very nice - exactly as shown. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and close to several amenities. Very convenient - highly recommended!
Great apartment - perfect location! Very clean and easy to get in and out of. Lots of natural light and comfortable furniture. Scott responded quickly and thoroughly to all my questions. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone.
Stay was great. Apt was very clean and easy to find/get into.
We loved Scott's quiet, bright studio. I'd forgotten a hair dryer but the bathroom was stocked with one in addition to other toiletries. We ate out the entire weekend, but the kitchen was stocked as well, and there were two vases of fresh flowers!
We also really enjoyed the neighborhood. Very quiet and safe but within walking distance to the panhandle of Golden Gate Park and Divisidero, where there are tons of great restaurants and bars.
Scott was easy to get a hold off and very friendly. I'd definitely recommend staying here to anyone.
Our stay was great! We were out and about exploring the city for the majority of the day, and Scott's cozy, quiet, and comfortable studio was a great place to rest and recupe for the next day. We were home away from home - the studio is equipped with provisions to cook and and relax. There were fresh towels and a variety of other toiletries (hair dryer!) for forgetful travelers, and the cupboards and fridge were stocked.
The neighborhood is calm and quiet. The studio is walking distance to the panhandle of Golden Gate Park which was nice. Whole Foods is nearby, as is a bigger grocery store for snack/grocery runs. We drove, and finding overnight parking nearby was not a problem.
Scott was very communicative. I'm sure that had there been any issues or questions, they wouldn't be left unresolved.
The small apartment is just fine for two people. Nothing fancy but it was quiet and I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The area was great: close to the bus system and I enjoyed the bread and butter café a couple of blocks away. All and all, a great experience!
Scott's flat was an delightful place to hang our hats while visiting family in the area. The apartment was clean, tidy and very quiet. The large windows let in lots of light as well as affording a view of the garden.
Scott was very helpful and quickly responded to all messages.
We will be returning to San Francisco from time to time and would gladly rent Scott's flat again.
We took a weekend trip to San Francisco to celebrate my wife's birthday. Scott's affordable, tidy apartment is in a great location central to both walkable points of interest (Golden Gate Park, Inner Sunset) and transit lines to the rest of SF (Mission, Hayes Valley, & Embarcadero). Scott made the reservation, check-in, and check-out processes simple as can be, for which we are so grateful. We would definitely stay again.
Great pied-a-terre for a conference in San Francisco. Loved being so close to Golden Gate Park for runs in the morning. (I didn't have time to go, but the location is very close to the de Young Museum and the California Academy of Sciences, so that would be fun too.) Scott was super helpful about arrangements for getting into the apartment. Very happy to have been there!
PROS: Location is perfect, right next to USF and the 5 MUNI Line. The size of the studio was just right and it's also facing a small garden and another apartment complex which is nice for security.
CONS: Could be much cleaner, especially since a cleaning fee is included. I found dust on the corners of the pillows on the bed and a ton of dead moths in the living room light fixture. It was really cold and the small portable heater that was there didn't do much. The fridge and shower had left over food and soap from previous tenants and that was just off putting.
I also didn't receive any information on the lock box whereabouts for the keys or instructions on how to get into the studio until an hour AFTER I had arrived at SFO; even though I contacted the owner days prior. Luckily my ride was late, so it bought the owner some time to finally call me back, but if he hadn't, I would have booked another hotel for sure. Just unprofessional in my opinion.
Don't mean to diss this apartment at all, it is cute and well located but needs improvement, especially for the price. I think with a good deep cleaning, some spruced up bed linens and a more organized host, it could be perfect.
Scott was a great guest. They left the house in perfect order.
Scott was not present for this stay but his friends were great guests, super nice and super clean!!!
They were great about the mix up on location (some times dealing 3rd party things get confusing) but it all rolled off there shoulders like world travelers...
I would always welcome these guys back to any of my places, and highly recommend them to other hosts as A+ guests.
