Response from Katka:
it seems that the greatest problem was the elevator, and the other ones are just a cover-up :-). I did inform you about it ahead of time and yes, it is tiresome to carry the things up the stairs TO THE FIFTH FLOOR (not 6th) when the elevator is not working but it is doable, and during the couple of years that I have been doing Airbnb a lot of my guests just managed fine when the elevator was not in the building yet. I am sorry for that and there is not much I can or could do about this fact. However, for the rest of what you say:
- everywhere old stuff - what stuff is old??
- cupboards crammed with hosts things - well, yes, and that is the reason why people use AIRBNB - that they can use the kitchen. In order to use the kitchen, they need kitchen utensils, and yes, I do provide them and they belong to me. You used them as well and you even left them dirty with cooked food in them! Isnt that a little too disrespectful to the person that opened her home to you?
- general feeling of dirty - well, the flat was cleaned just a couple hours before you came, and when you look at the rest of the 120 comments I have received since Ive been doing Airbnb, not one comments on the cleanliness of my place in a negative way, so it will not be the problem of the flat, I think :-).
- dirty linen in the bathroom - there is no linen stored in the bathroom, so I dont know what you are talking about here. You should also mentioned though, that after your message to me in which you said that it was "dusty" in my appartement, I asked you to specify where the dust was (since it was cleaned just before you came), and there was no answer. Also, my assistant came that very afternoon and your wife was not able to tell here what needs to be cleaned except for the bathroom. She also reported that it was clean and she did not find dust anywhere to clean. Maybe you should also mention that you might have seen dust under the beds when you were moving the furniture around the flat WITHOUT asking or at least putting it back afterwards! So, yes, the experience was spoiled and I did draw conclusions from it for the future.
