Artist-Architect based out of NYC.
Wonderful, highly communicative host that did everything possible to make my stay easy and comfortable! The room was big and bright, and the apartment was close to everything I needed to get around the city. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
great experience! both Cheryl and her roommate Milan were very welcoming and accommodating! Would definitely stay here again!
Cheryl (email hidden) and quick to communicate with. Overall everything went well during my stay.
The loft is basic but and has a comfortable bed. There is also no A/C in the room but I was provided a fan which worked great in the 80 degree weather. There is a TV in the room but it's not connected to cable. The location is in the heart of Chinatown so don't expect pub's and shopping malls outside of the building. The neighborhood/street is very quiet and feels safe. The subway station couldn't be any closer and it's super easy to get around town.
Cheryl is very friendly and communicative. The room is nice and clean and the most important thing: In the best part of town.
Cheryl was a communicative and accommodating host; she arranged for me to have access to her apartment before the standard check-in time (which saved my life!). The building has an elevator, and the apartment is spacious for Manhattan. The room is as advertised: there's a futon-style bed, a couple small tables, a couple hangers, a dresser, and has a low ceiling. The weather was extremely hot during my stay but thankfully Cheryl provided a fan. The neighborhood and overall apartment is quiet, very close to the subway, and near restaurants and bars.
Staying with Cheryl in NYC was great. The room was nice and I didn't have problems with the low ceiling. Just around the corner from the Metro, so easy to get in and out of the city. Communicating with Cheryl and arranging everything was also very easy.
I'm not sure where to begin. I stayed with Cheryl for 2 months, so you got 2 months to read? It was one of the best decisions I've ever made to request a stay with Cheryl, and I'm over the moon that she accepted. I just moved to NYC and needed a place to stay while I got settled, and she was nice enough to take me. She and her roommate helped me get my feet on the ground, get settled, and even assisted my move into my new apartment. They are unbelievably nice and supportive in any way you need, and I never felt uncomfortable once. I will restate what others have posted, yes, the ceiling really is only 4ft high and you do need to watch your head, but I'm short, so it never really bothered me. There aren't enough nice things I can say about my stay. If you're new to NYC, or even if you're not, this is definitely a fantastic choice.
Cheryl is an exceptional host. The accommodation is aptly described: its a charming downtown apartment and very close to the subway. You will not regret staying here.
The place was great. It's small but great. Very clean. The loft has a short ceiling but I just ducked. Never hit my head. I woudl stay there agin. It was great for a few days stay.
Cheryl was a very nice guest. Everything was according the previous agreement, and I hope that she and her friends liked the apartment and the Bairro Alto zone. I hope to receive them again in a future visit to Lisbon.
Very nice people
It was a pleasure to host and meet Cheryl! Very communicative and very nice! The apartment was awesomely clean :)
