Great little room. As expected is not a mansion, but clean and reasonable for what you pay with a comfortable bed with bit of space underneath to put your bags. A simple room that does the job. Building itself is typical older HK style. Fantastic location. For the light sleepers, there is some traffic noise at night but doesn't take long to get used to it and with only one small window in the bathroom, the room is super dark for sleeping in! Kenny was helpful, he runs a number of rooms in the building, gives you all the detail you need to get there and very responsive for extensions etc. Smooth process of getting there - very easy with single bus from Airport to pretty much right out front.
You won't be cooking any meals in there but there're plenty of good restaurants in the area to explore that suit all price ranges. Note that the bathroom/shower only has a curtain to separate from the bed area. The room is one of 5 or so similarly decked out, all next to each other so easy to meet other travelers.
In summary: for a single traveler looking for a simple, tidy room in a great location at a reasonable price - would definitely recommend.
This is best for a single person coming to stay for 1 - 3 weeks with few needs other than a place to rest and shower, etc.
- Great location between Wan Chai and Admiralty stations, right next to tram (walked home from LKF a few times, too), quite safe
- Easy to meet people in the building (other travelers)
- Kenny's a very organized host, so extensions are easy and you get a big guidebook explaining stuff from him (location, laundry, etc) and he doesn't bother you about anything
- Wellcome, 7-Eleven, and Circle K all downstairs, drop-off laundry also nearby
- No keys, just codes!
Not so great stuff:
- Curtain for bathroom 'door'
- Unit O2 has a window only in the bathroom (easier to sleep, but less light)
- Always have to eat out
- Electricity is separate
Overall, the room is really 'what you see is what you get'; it's pretty tiny and the bathroom 'door' is a shower curtain, it's one of 6 cordoned-off rooms from the overall space. It's got a great location and the building does leave you room to meet people, though, so it's still a good pick.
Petite chambre un peu trop exigüe, sans charme, très bruyante (voisins et circulation dans l'avenue), pas très propre....
Mais le quartier est pratique!
What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. A bed a little bigger than single but smaller than a double bed. There is a shower and a bathroom all in one without a door just a shower curtain. We were two people and had to share one bed, it was a little uncomfortable but we did not spend much time in the room so it did not matter to us. Accommodation prices in Hong Kong are really high and this apartment was in a really good location less than 5 minutes walk to subway station and close to all major attractions.
There is not reception desk so you can not ask for travel suggestions it's simply a cheap place to crush while touring Hong Kong. We stayed there for 5 night.
This is VERY VERY basic but clean!
Kenny is responsive and nice. room e5 is quite small and has a good amount of natural light (other side of that is its on the corner of the building above a busy intersection). I would definitely stay there again, really convenient location.
Kenny's apartment had a comfortable bed and a clean space. The shower pressure was fantastic, but the hot water only lasted for 6 minutes. The apartment is in a great location in wan chai and it's easy to walk to a lot of new places. This type of apartment style is to be expected in Hong Kong. The experience would have been enhanced if Kenny would buy a space heater to heat the room up - it's freezing during winter season. Also, the towel he gave me had a rust stain on it - a clean towel and shampoo/soap provided would have made my experience unforgettable. I hope these things can be improved!
The room is very nice，clean and the most thing is very convenient!
Kenny is a nice guy, and we have troubled him several time. In general, the stay is good. Adv: clean, near to the MTR station, at the central area. Inadv: room is much smaller than the look, the hot water is not sufficient for woman to wash hair.
Nice host, he took the time to pick us up and show us around in the area. The location is super, but everybody that knows Hongkong will also know that it is very hard to find a spacious room in a good location- so the apartment is quite small. If you only come to sleep and shower you will be fine though!
I was shocked with how small the room was, and it is clean enough, and has great downtown location, and is more expensive than other places have stayed. Engish if tough. Would stay there again, but would check out other locations. Kenny was helpful, but difficult to communicate
