Hello! I'm a 29 year old management consultant from Istanbul, Turkey. I recently spent 3 years living in Brussels, Belgium but apart from that I've lived in (or rather survived) Istanbul my whole life.

Nowadays I'm very busy working on my retail management consultancy startup and I have two more startups waiting in line to be officially started. I had always wanted to start my own businesses and after 5 great years of working for IKEA, I enjoy the life of entrepreneurship a lot. Nowadays my motto is: work hard, play harder!

I love to eat, to drink and to travel. When I'm about to visit a new city, the first things I check are hardly museums or touristic sights but rather the local delicacies and the "must go" restaurants and food stalls. I'm also very much interested in sampling local beers and wine. My favorite cuisines are Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, Italian and French. I like single malt scotch (Talisker and Macallan to be specific), Belgian Trappist beers (Chimay Bleue) and Saint Emilion wines.

Currently my favorite destinations are New York and Sydney (no wonder both have excellent food) although I'm pretty sure if I ever manage to finally visit Tokyo, it'll be up there with NY and Sydney. I can't wait to sample some proper Japanese gyoza, yakitori and sushi.

I like almost all types of sports. I played volleyball for 10 years and I run regularly. I'm a Galatasaray fan.

Readingwise I'm a big fan of Terry Pratchett, Tolkien and Oguz Atay.

Musicwise I listen to a lot of things but mostly I listen to progressive rock, progressive metal, indie rock and indie pop.

I'm a flexible, adaptable and easygoing traveler who'll respect your space and keep it clean (I won't leave any breadcrumbs lying around). In return, I would expect cleanliness and trustworthiness from my host.
