The place looks exactly as advertised and had great proximity to the metro station, which made it easy for us to explore the rest of Rome. The place was quiet, safe, and clean and the terrace was great to enjoy wine and cheese at night after exploring the city by day.
My friend and I visited Rome late May, and the neighbourhood was recommended to us by a Roman friend. It's a near the university so there are a lot of young people around and feels moderately lively even late at night. There is very convenient public transportation, including the metro and night bus. It is a bit far from the city centre, but the price was right. It's also near the Basilica San Paolo, a well-known church with a beautiful courtyard worth the visit.
We were greeted at the metro station by Danilo, Grazia's brother-in-law as she wasn't available. We walked to the house, as it's very close to the station. He was very helpful, and eager to answer any questions. He recommended (and I do too) we take the bus to the city instead of the metro, as the route is very nice.
The house was exactly as advertised, very clean, with clean towels provided. Grazia had provided some welcoming juice and a pie, and there was also coffee we could make each morning. Hot water was always available after you left it running for a few seconds.
Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Danilo, le beau-frère de Grazia car elle ne pouvait pas être là le jour de notre arrivée.
L'appartement est nikel, spacieux et proche du metro. rien à redire, ce fut un excellent séjour.
Really great apartment! Very clean, very cute and comfortable. Grazia and her family was waiting when we arrived with keys and peach pie ))
Location is good — it takes 15 minutes to get the center of Rome by subway (Colosseo station).
There are amazing balcony with beautiful view, where we had a breakfast.
Highly reccomend this place!
We met Lauro, Grace's husband, during our arrival. The accommodation is well located only a couple of stops from the Colosseo by metro. The area can make you feel unsafe at the beginning (many tags). Do not worry, we did not encounter any issues in the district. People are lovely and there are many students. The accommodation is very good, on 5th floor with a lift and its big enough to host 3 people with privacy (2+1). You have a washing machine too, which is good!
Clean apartment not too far out of town, was handy for visiting our relatives & all the sites of Rome
Gentilissimi, precisi. La casa accogliente corrisponde esattamente alla descrizione. Luminosa.
appartamento bellissimo confortevole e luminoso , ottima posizione, parcheggio gratuito sotto casa, vicinissimo alla metro , accoglienza squisita... non manca nulla! assolutamente consigliato !!
We stayed at House Rome Cialdi 4 nights and our total experience was really great! Lauro and his brother met us 1 hour earlier than the appointed one, due to our earlier arrival at the spot, and they showed us the house giving us useful instructions for the neighborhood and the access to the center and other places around. On the main table there was an apricot pie as well as juice in the fridge as a welcoming gesture, which was very nice from their side! Everything was clean and the house fully equipped for a cosy stay in Rome. The access to the metro station of Basilica S.Paolo is just 2 min. walking and in 15 min. top you are in the center of the city. Also, on the main street outside the house you can find the bus stop for line 23 which takes you right outside Vaticano and Trastevere neighborhood, very useful especially after a full day out walking in the city! Tip: in the first right turn next to the house there is a market 3-4 times/week where you can find variety of fresh food to buy, a cafe/bar the "Shout Sisters" with great coffee and paninis as well as a calabrese restaurant serving wonderful pasta and main courses at very good prices comparing to those in some touristic places. An excellent choice for seeing Rome as a local for few days, feeling safe all day long and of course avoiding pricey accommodation in the downtown, crowdy places.
A great, large apartment, conveniently placed next to a market, the metro, and anything else you might need. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with.
