Clean, bright and comfortable room. Living areas, kitchen and bathrooms were shared with student residents who were generally very friendly and willing to share use of their facilities and kitchen utensils. Great location in the centre of Buxton and a short walk from the Opera House so excellent for touring theatre performers.
Central location, very close to the station, freshly painted room.
More like sharing a halls of residence than living with a host, which give you all the space & independence you need to enjoy Buxton.
Host representative gave very quick intro to room which is understandable as she was busy, had to go back to find her to ask further questions - how to open window, where was the kitchen etc.
Freshly painted room was nice, although still had some paint fumes which would not affect the next visitor.
Good value room. Would stay again if I visited Buxton.
Katie kindly picked my semi-lost self up on the corner of the street. The house was very nice and clean. I could come and go as I pleased and enjoyed my double bed. Also it's awesomely in the middle of town. I can definitely recommend staying here.
Katie is very nice . She provided a great room to me. the room and house is very clean and provides convenient living equipments. it is close to the bus station and rail station and also it is located in center of buxton.
great value place, and ideal location right in the centre of town. good communication beforehand and host happy to show us around
We did not meet Katie, but a friend of hers, Hannah, who was very nice. The location is a 3 minute walk from the train station and in an excellent location, right in the heart of Buxton. You could not ask for a better location!
We stayed in room #12. The double bed was comfortable and the dorm was very quiet. We could not believe how quiet it was! The room was very small, but still included a closet for clothes and a small desk. The bedroom was clean, although the door is almost brown from all the dirt and grime. The space is what you might expect from a college dorm - a bare bones room with no decor or ambiance.
My only complaints are the cleanliness. The bathroom shower was moldy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. The kitchen was large, but filled with dirty dishes - so much so that we weren't able to cook there at all. Luckily, the space is close to restaurants and coffee shops, making it easy to find a place to eat nearby.
WiFi did not work the first day we arrived, but Katie was quick to respond and restarted the router, which fixed the problem. After that, WiFi was excellent.
Overall, this is very basic accommodation, located in an excellent spot in Buxton.
Neat and clean room good rates
Great location only a few minutes walk from the opera house. The room was fine though smelt a little musty and the shared bathroom facilities were in good working order with a towel provided. Altogether, it worked for me!
Although I had no direct, face-to-face contact with the host, I cannot fault the room. It was clean, light and the beds were very comfortable. The communal bathroom and kitchen were in good condition, and the area itself was generally peaceful - at least considering the fact the property backs onto a main road.
The room was just what I needed, clean, simple and adequate. I arrived very late and could not find it initially but Kate was available for directions and was very understanding and ensured that someone met me on arrival to introduce me. A reasonable price and pleasant experience.
Thanks sooo much, would definitely book again..
