I am new to airbnb. I love it! Currently I am living and working as a Scientist in Barcelona :)
Our stay with Linda could not have been more perfect. She was very hospitable and offered some great local tips and her apartment was in an excellent location. Thank you for having us!
Linda was the perfect host. Upon my arrival I was greeted with a warm hug and a nice big glass of Cava. She was often ready to share stories over a glass of wine, but also gave me all the space and privacy I needed when I needed it. She also had great suggestions for places to eat and drink.
The apartment is just as beautiful as the pictures. And it is always clean and tidy. A maid comes once a week.
Born is the best neighbourhood in Barcelona, close to the beach and across the street from my favourite park, and all the best restaurants and bars are in Born.
Born is a culture mecca so it can get noisy at night especially at the weekend. I did not mind the noise at all as I was out most nights contributing to the noise. But when I wanted to have a quiet night in a pair of earplugs was all I needed to get to sleep.
I plan to return as soon as possible and stay with Linda and her husband again.
I stayed at this beautiful place for 4 days with a friend and Linda has been a perfect host!
The place is spacious, clean and has 5 balconies which give you perfect sun. A private bathroom was included with the room and was spotless.
Linda gave us a warm welcome and several tips for places to go (even knowing El Born myself there were some new ones in there for me!).
Obviously this is the El Born area and during weekends there is party going on so some noise from neighbouring bars which didn't bother us that much.
All in all a good stay and would definitely stay here again!
Great apartment and great location. The apartment was as described: open, airy, very clean. It is very close to everything: Las Ramblas, the beach, various museums (Picasso not 5 mins. away), parks and monuments. Linda was a great host, very friendly and helpful with directions and things to do. The only negative is that this being Barcelona, bars are open until the wee hours of the night, especially on weekends (i.e. Friday, Saturday nights). We were happy that we brought earplugs for those 2 nights.
We know Barcelona quite well since we used to live here for many years. And if you are new or old to Barcelona this is a place I would absolutely recommend! It is located in the heart of the Borne, my favorite neighborhood, surrounded by small creative boutiques, many good fish restaurants, sunny terraces and beautiful architecture. The apartment itself is very light and clean and has a good spacial lay-out that provides a lot of privacy which made us feel we had the place to ourselves. This is one of those few places that actually is even better in reality than on pictures! Our host was great, very helpful and uncomplicated! We would definitely stay here again!
Linda was a terrific host. From the moment we arrived, she was very helpful and accommodating. She gave us tips on where to go, provide us with guidebooks and even showed us around the neighborhood herself.
The room was very clean and spacious, and walking distance to most places we wanted to see! There are restaurants, bars, museums within a couple minutes by foot. Although it was a private room and not a whole apartment, the private bathroom made it seem like we had our own place. The Wifi also worked well and and everything was promised as in the write-up and the pictures, it was a great stay overall.
We were lucky enough to book this apartment at short notice but it was such a wonderful find. Fantastic location, with so much in the area and the lovely park right across the road. Very spacious for four people and had everything we could need. Linda was most helpful and extremely welcoming. A lovely stay :)
Linda is a very nice person and her apartment is perfect. Good location and a warm welcome.
She gave us all the space and time to do whatever we want.
I would highly recommend her (website hidden). be aware of the noise clubs downstairs. But that is what you get in the center of Barcelona.
Linda is a very nice person and she treated us as family. The flat is nice and in a stratgiec position from where you can easily reach any part of Barcellona. From here you can go by walk to the city center and to Estacio del Nord (which also connects Barcellona to Griona airport). When I'll go back to Barcellona I will contact her again!
We had such a lovely experience in this apartment! The hosts were so welcoming and nice--they have tons of guidebooks on offer, but also took us around the local neighborhood (Born/Ribera) to show us which tapas places, bars, and restaurants we should try. Thanks to their recommendations, we had an amazing time! The location couldn't be better--close to great neighborhoods with amazing food, shopping, museums and nightlife (but not too loud) AND the beach--on our last day, we rented bikes from a place on the next block and rode them up and down the beach. The apartment itself is clean, well-decorated, and full of light. The bedroom and bathroom can be conveniently closed off from the rest of the apartment with a sliding door for extra privacy. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was also great. Finally, the host even made us a breakfast cake one morning--it was the highlight of our trip to grab a couple pieces while they were still warm from the oven before setting off on our adventures for the day. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
