I stayed at Cherry's place for about 3 months as I moved to NYC for work. I would highly recommend any of Cherry's available listings. This is a great location for a short or long term stay in Brooklyn/ NYC. People will tell you Bed-Stuy is an up-and-coming area and Cherry's listings are walking distance to a few great food and drink spots. If you'd prefer to travel into Manhattan or other parts of Brooklyn you will be 1 block from the A/C Train that can take you wherever you'd like to go. The entrance to the train is in front of a 24-hour RITE-AID, which is convenient.
Cherry and her family are very friendly people and made me feel very welcomed. She was very responsive when ever I needed something.
The apartment is very private and spacious. The kitchen was a little tight, but the living area is HUGE. The room I stayed in has a full private bathroom and a dresser. During my stay I had had two roommates that were friendly, but kept to themselves for the most part.
I can't stress enough that this would be a great place to get your feet underneath you if you move to NYC, like I did, or convenient for the short term with the train being literally around the corner.
Great location if you need to be close to Manhattan. Laundry, Supermarket, train/bus, hair and nail salon, McDonalds, Chinese all in close proximity.
I didn't stay in the room advertised, I stayed in a room on the first floor. The room was bigger than the picture made it look. I had a comfortable bed, night stand, and closet. If you don't have a lot of stuff that is all you need to be comfortable for a short time. I stayed for 3 months.
I stayed with Cherry, her family, and another renter. They are very kind people and will show you genuine hospitality. They are always making sure you feel comfortable in the environment.
It is a small space, but comfortable and affordable. I would definitely stay again and recommend it.
I stayed with Cherry-Ann for 5 weeks and had an amazing time living at her place! The room is very cozy, with a big window, very quiet and an extremely comfortable bed! Cherry-Ann is very hospitable and attentive, so this place felt like home from the very beginning. The apartment is super close to the subway! A supermarket, deli and everything you need is located in the direct neighborhood. I warmly recommend this place! The next time I come to NYC I will prefer to stay here again!
It was great! I had a really good time in the place, trust me, I'm being fair. They really know what means to be new in NYC, they try to help you with everything, explaining directions, with problems I had to face, I was not expecting that good welcoming. The pace is min away to the subway (Ralph Av) 3 min on foot from the supermarket and just across the street there is a grocery store-hours opened where you can find everything, the laundry is also I'll say.... 2 min walking. I felt safe all time and they gave me all the facilities I wanted and and they really took care about whether I was comfortable or not, "Carmen, make yourself comfortable" is one of the sentences I have listened the most during these day. The place is clean, Cherry's mother (who is one of the nicest people I've meet in NY) cleans every week all house. They give you sheets and towels and they even change and clean them. They have a big TV that you can always use and nice conversation, I really felt like at home and It is something that people needs when is new in NY. About the price, I think it is so fair, I have been in others friend's places and they pay much more for smaller or dirty places so I think they offer a good rate quality-price. I hope I have help you with my opinion, good luck with the apartment search!!!
It was a very nice and good expierence, Cherry-Ann & her Family is very friendly, helpful and openminded.
The neighbourhood is absolutely fine, a few good amenities nearby and it's definitely safe around. The apartment is around the corner from Ralph Ave metro station, C line, that takes you to Manhattan in 20 minutes, plus it's not far from Bushwick, a very interesting and fashionable area of Brooklyn (basically the next Williamsburg), and from Prospect park.
I stayed at Cherry-Ann's apartment for almost 3 months as I was doing an internship in Williamsburg. The roomies (including the host) have been always nice to me and available for anything I asked for. The room is good size and the apartment in general is very clean and tidy.
The host even agreed to let a friend of mine to stay with me in my bedroom for 5 nights without extra charge, so kind of her! Moreover, as I decided to change and postpone my flight back to Europe, she charged me very very little for 12 more days, which is something that says a lot about Cherry-Ann, who's always been friendly and respectful towards me.
I do recommend this apartment as it's cheap and it has easy access to the metro (very good if visiting indeed), and the host and the roomies are just amazing people. I certainly had a great time in NYC and if I will come back I will certainly ask for this room again
The reservation was canceled 22 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Cherry-Ann is a lovely host and her family is very warm and welcoming.
The pictures are not like the room is, actually is bigger, has a window and is prettiest. The pictures of the place that I book It was not the place that I stay in. The girl that leave in the apt (parker) is awesome she is super funny and friendly. You will never saw the host (Cheryl) she never show up. When I arrived it was a mess they where painting and fixing stuff until the second week. Now everything works. The add said NOT PETS allow... Well, The host rent it to a another girl with 2 cats with out tell us, and Im allergic to cats. It was really unfair for the cats and me cause we have to stay in are rooms all the time and the owner of the cats didn't knew to that the other roommie and I were allergics. Cherryl never came to talk to me, she just respond to me with short messages... So, If you don't know NYC I will not recommend to go to these place.
