Great apartment, amazing location (close to Barrio Alto) but quite and interesting.
Nuno was friendly and helpful. We'll come back!
Nuno was welcoming and helpful. The apartment is lovely. The location is very good. I recommend the experience of staying there.
L'appartement est très bien situé dans un quartier très agréable et tranquille. J'ai beaucoup apprécié le calme de l'appartement. Je le recommande fortement pour un séjour à Lisbonne.
Thanks for a great stay in this lovely apartment in what was an excellent neighbourhood for us. Nuno was a terrific host - responding well to all our communication beforehand and giving advice on most direct method of transport to the apartment - taxi and advising of the cost - around €15 euro. Despite this advice we got fleeced by our taxi driver from the airport who charged us €30!!! Unfortunately for us, (and fortunate for same taxi driver) we were extremely tired from a middle of night rise to get very early plane and did not dispute this. Beware! Do not go for taxi at arrivals at airport - go up elevator to departures and grab one there - seemingly no queue and you shouldnt get robbed as we did!
Anyway, Nuno was teŕrific when we met - giving us some info and background on the districts of Lisbon and pointing us in the right direction for an evening drink outdoors in a neighbourhood nearby which we loved and certainly gave us our bearings and helped us settle into the neighbourhood - all things we love. We loved the apartment with its front to back aspect overlooking red tiled rooves and colourful buildings - very much in the middle of a real neighbourhood and we loved this. There is very little noise from outside and we slept very well. The bed is very comfortable and whilst around the bed is tight on space - there is loads of space with double aspect window at he foot of bed with lots of hanging space and places to set your luggage and things on. Very powerful shower in bathroom and a very well equipped if small but beautiful kitchen - again with those double aspect windows. What more could you want. We loved it! The living space is very bright, airy and spacious - all is as in the photos -but better. Great and most interesting selection of books on shelves - makes us feel we would like to meet the owner and to come back and stay for longer to lounge on the daybed and read some of them and we will, very soon I hope. The apartment does have a lot of Ikea furniture which I didnt want and which is hard to escape these days but as an earlier reviewer states - it is used very well and indeed sits well alongside the character and the modernisation of this lovely apartment. All of the above certainly enhanced and helped make a wonderful 4 day trip to a great, great city. Thanks Nuno for (website hidden) when we were leaving we walked up towards the square at Principe Real where there is a taxi rank and hailed a taxi en route - €8.75 to the airport!! Pps Few doors up Cantinho Lusitano reviews well with Trip Advisor and Time Out - closed Sun&Mon. Cantinho Avillez in Chiado - excellent - we'll be back.
Malgré une météo médiocre, nous avons passé un séjour égréable dans cet appartement. Bien équipé et bien situé dans un vieux quartier calme de Lisbonne, nous étions proches de toutes les commodités.
Nuno made us very welcome upon arrival and carefully explained the eccentric front door key. We mastered using it pretty quickly.
The apartment was great (and sunny!) and very well equipped including fast wifi.
The area was very nice - much as expected.
There are a number of good moderately priced restaurants nearby including the former Royal Silk Factory close to Rato Metro station.
The nearest public transport is max 10 mins downhill to the National Assembly and the No 28 tram or uphill to Rato metro - max 15 mins.
All in all a great base from which to explore Lisbon.
We've been received by Nuno, he was lovely and gave us plenty of useful information. The apartment was exactly like the pictures. The area is very lovely, very in the centre and close to super nice restaurants like Dona Quiteria or Cantinho Lusitano, etc. Everything was clean and cozy. There's a washing machine and internet was fast. The only negative aspect was some noise coming for the upstairs neighbors at night and early morning. Get some ear plugs and enjoy this nice place :)
Nuno was there when we got to the apartment, he gave us several tips on the neighborhood and restaurants.
The apartment was great, sunny and practical as it was described.
The living room is very clear and confortable. We slept very well in the bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped.
As a tourist, I would recommend this neighborhood because it is very close to the center (about 10 min by foot) and calm at night.
If you’re a couple looking for an apartment to visit Lisbon for a fare place, I would recommend Nuno’s place !

Everything was perfect. Nuno was really nice and the apartment very comfortable (and full of good books !). We've really enjoyed our stay and the lovely praça das flores district.
I recommend this place +++
We had a great stay in Lisbon and in Nuno's flat. At the time of our stay Nuno was away on vacation but everything still went smoothly from start to finish.
Nuno promptly handled the few issues we had. They involved a broken key (our fault) and a day without gas. Things like that can happen and we're sure it was a one time thing and nothing future airbnb:ers should worry about. Again Nuno handled it well and it didn't bother us.
The flat is quiet and looks exactly like in the photos. It's located in a very nice, non touristic area and we really felt we got a taste of the real Lisbon.
It's also a perfect spot as it's located only a short walk from the public transport.
We would like to share a gem with future tenants. On the same street, on the right when you come out from the door, you'll find a small restaurant named Cantinho Lusitano. It's a small cosy place serving Portuguese food tapas style. It's run by a couple and their hospitality (the people of Lisbon are very helpful and friendly in general) and warmth really made our stay more memorable. That in combination with their incredible food makes us wanna recommend them.
All in all, we are happy with our stay and can recommend this flat and the area to anyone.
Nuno, was a great guest. Very reliable through the whole process.
