I'm a chill, curious, nature loving person interested to share with other people from all over the world. I have been lucky enough to travel to many places and meet many amazing people along the way. I enjoy sharing meals with others and love foods of all kinds! I also enjoy practicing yoga, riding my bicycle and taking long walks. I've been working with kids since I graduated university. I taught students with multiple disabilities at the Texas School for the Blind for a few years. My students were some of the most creative, spontaneous, beautiful people I have ever met. One summer I volunteered at a wildlife park, giving tours to guests, teaching them about the animals. Have you ever met an Okapi? I also worked at a toy store, and i was in a performance duo called, Krazayzay. I have taught ESL in 3 different countries over the past few years. Currently I am an academic advisor at a university.
If you host me, I will be open to seeing the city through your eyes. I am an independent traveller, so I won't expect you to show me around, but it might be nice to cook dinner with you, visit some local restaurants or see live music with my host if time permits.
If you are my guest, I hope you feel at home at my place. I would like to share with you my favorite parts about Austin. I tend to let my guests have their space and independence in the day, since I work, but would love to chat in the evenings. I am a morning person, but tend to be rather quiet then, reading the newspaper and making breakfast.
Spontaneity is the fountain of youth!
