I'm an early 30s parasitologist, outdoor enthusiast and I've lived on both (US) coasts. Don't misread that first bit, I don't study paranormal activity. I play with parasites; they're fascinating little buggers.
I'm happiest when I'm getting from point A to point B via bike. I also like snowboarding, hiking and rock climbing (only with a good partner). I love being back in the Pacific Northwest and am looking forward to lots of exploring.
As for my travel style, I generally travel light and only plan a few days in advance. I'd rather explore a small area in depth than cover a lot of territory and feel rushed. Most recently I spent 5 weeks in Vietnam after finishing grad school and it was a great way to decompress. Also the food was absolutely amazing. My next non-North America adventure will be India for work, I'm both nervous and thrill about it. I've lived in Japan and Israel and I've traveled throughout Asia and Europe.
As a guest, l'm generally pretty quiet. I'm not really a night owl or a morning person. My bed time is usually between 11 and 1 and I'm not fully functional in the morning until I've had coffee.
