I'm a 32 year old producer in the film industry in South Africa. Based in Cape Town or otherwise known as the Mother City, the very most southern tip of Africa and one of the world's top tourist destinations.

We never got to know Anco since he himself was at vacation too. M, a friend of him greeted us late at night and handed the key over and showed us the apartment. She was very nice and helpful.
The apartment was ok, the bed for 2 people rather small (not even a queen). There was no WiFi and no TV. So that's ok but should be stated clearly, especially the lack of WiFi - for international travelers really needed. The place is in a nice location, although the street running by is quite noisy. One big drawback is the Pension/Guesthouse right opposite Anco's App. Every morning the people there get rid of the trash from the day before, and that is very annoying especially the discard of all the bottles early in the morning, very loud and directly underneath the sleeping room, so you definitely will wake up.
There is a garage place, but caution here, more than a super compact car (we’ve rented a Hyundai Y10) wouldn’t fit in there.
Since you pay for cleaning, it wasn’t clean, especially the bathroom was filthy.
Cost: We knew it was high season, but what Anco was asking for the place is way too much. We’ve paid approximately ZAR 1’500 per night. Half the price would meet the apartment’s offering/location/noise relation better.
Anco, thank you for setting us up with M’s help. Stephan
Honest and reliable guest - left the house in good order as they found it. Would have as a guest again.
