Nice to meet you. I'm a brand manager for a Belgian chocolate company that is associated with a very well known bakery in Toronto. I frequently travel out of town to the US for work and occasionally in Canada. As a result, I've stayed in a lot of hotels and am starting to love the idea of staying somewhere with a kitchen or kitchenette so I can at least have a cup of tea after a long day without having to run out!
For leisure, I normally travel with my husband, Kevin as far as our budget can take us. Our preference is definitely for apartment hotels so we get a sense of what it's like to live in the city we're visiting. We love nothing more than to have a leisurely morning of coffee and a bit of breakfast before we head out to explore. Our favourite things to do while we're in the city is to go to the local market and eat! Being in the business I'm in, I love visiting bakeries and chocolate shops and of course, Kevin is not adverse to seeing them either as he has a sweet tooth. We also walk a lot and are not afraid of using public transportation so if you're located near interesting areas or within reach of it via transit, we're likely to seek you out.
We're both into cooking and wine. Traditionally, I'm a baker but I also make a lot of different foods - Indian, Chinese, American/Canadian, French, Moroccan, Italian, Greek and Spanish. I've learned from friends, family, family of friends and my growing collection of cook books.
I think I have over 80 cities across the world bookmarked on my TripAdvisor map and Kevin and I are aiming to add more together.
