We were really pleased with the location, accomodtation and the manner in which Arrigo assisted us on our arrival. He was extremely helpful and was there to meet and show us our accomodation. Arriggo was knowledgeable and gave us some great advice on where to eat, shop and get the most value out our stay in Venezia. The accomodation was located in the quieter area, a few minute walk from the main water taxi drop off point in the Arsenale. You get a real sense of the locals and their lifestyle as this location is away from the main tourist spots but still close enough to get to the main sites. Our family of four, including our two adult children had an enjoyable, comfortable and secure stay in this apartment. Thanks Arrigo for all the help.
WOW!!! Great place for the price!! We were a large group but Arrigo still welcomed us well .Arrigo was a fabulous host , helpful and kind. The apartment on the island was perfect we where glad to have stayed there its set up to be practical and meet any travelers need, very clean, open space, and to our surprise a nice quaint little garden backyard. Overall we loved it. Thanks Arrigo!!!

A good option for Venice. Spacious and clean. Close to the train and bus station. In a nice quiet area away from the main attractions. Arrigo made it easy to meet up and very accessible. He was also helpful with answering questions.
It's a very commercial accommodation for us. although the place can accommodate 6 person, there are only two rooms available, the beds were slightly not enough for all of us. The showering area is bad as we sometimes got extremely hot water or no water while showering. however overall experience is ok.
Nice ground floor apartment with patio. Good location not far from train station, and not in touristy area (great for true Venetian meals, etc...) The apartment is very basic (no toilet paper provided, etc...) We stayed here in the Spring and there were mosquitos everywhere (could see marks all over the walls where others have killed them).
The apartment was clean, roomy, and pleasant. It is a one bedroom with a (decently comfortable) sofa-bed in the living-dining room. It has a good-sized, eat-in (and basic) kitchen with a view overlooking a canal. It also has a very large terrace. It is quite close to the train station, perhaps a 3-5 minute walk. It is not very close to San Marco. But the upside is that the neighborhood is much less touristy (for Venice, that is), quieter, and more relaxing. There is a supermarket about 5 minutes away. The main drawback of the apartment could be noise on nights when you might want the windows open. It is on a small but rather heavily trafficked through street. Arrigo, the owner, was nice and professional, meeting us at the train station and taking us to the apt.
The place was great. The location was wonderful. It was really close to the Guglio water bus. Easy acsess from train station. The bad part was when we got there ,I went to use the bathroom and there was no toliet paper. The towels were very thin, and a little larger then a hand towel. There was no soap except for dishwashing soap so we were squeaky clean like dishes with a lemon scent.. Not bad. It made my hair feel very soft and clean.
There was a cute grocery store before you entered the Ghetto. They carry everything. It might not be in view but they have it in another room, They had the best crackers and gorgenzola cheese.
Back to the apt. The curtains are sheere but on the second day we realized that the shutters on the outside actually work. If they are not closed before bed the automatic light that comes on when someone arrives will shine in room and wake you up. I really loved it and would defintely reccommend now that you know what to bring.
We stayed at Pivot Crosera for 5 nights in October, to visit Venice and the biennale. The location was absolutely ideal as our home-base. The apartment was clean and simple, as described. Communication with Arrigo went smoothly, and a woman met us at the agreed place and time and showed us to the apartment.
This apartment would be great for 2 friends traveling together. We were a group of three (one couple and a friend) and while there was plenty of room in the apartment, the sofa bed wasn’t as comfortable as we had hoped. A couple of nights would have been fine, but 5 nights was a little hard on our backs. The layout of the apartment was unusual: the bathroom with toilet and sink is off of the bedroom (the bedroom has 2 twin beds, as shown), while the shower is off of the main room (living room/dining area). This wasn’t a problem for us – actually, it was good for 3 of us getting ready to head out in the mornings. But, it doesn’t offer much privacy.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay. If I came back with a friend (and I wasn’t planning to sleep on the sofa bed), I would stay here again.
My friends and I (2 couples) stayed at Arrigo's apartment for 2 days (15th & 16th). The apartment is ideally located quite close to St Marks Square and other facilities, and Arrigo came to meet us and escort us to his apartment. Upto this point it was a good experience.
Unfortunately the apartment itself was not upto to the anticpated standard or worth the price shelled out. We had specifically notified Arrigo that we were two couples hence expected suitable sleeping arrangement and was under the impression that if that was not possible, he would advise us. That would have given us an opportunity to cancel and book elsewhere.
The apartment is a bare minimum. There were some small hand towels provided definitely not suitable for drying after shower. There was no coffee / tea / sugar in the apartment. There were two single beds and a sofa cum bed. The single beds were ok but the sofa cum bed is absolutely pathetic and uncomfortable.
Another shocking fault was that he had no maps or any touristic hand outs available or ability to provide the same. Oh by the way the dude thinks that only 5 star hotels give out tourist maps (which are basically free and provided by local tourism authorities) and basic amenities like coffee, etc. Just goes to show how little he knows about the world around him. Anyways others are welcome to try him and experience for yourself.
We stayed three days in Venice at San Marco Biennale. Arrigo is a very friendly host, met us at the vaporetto station and took us to the flat. The location is very convenient, within walking distance from Giardini Pubblici, Arsenale, Piazza San Marco and many other points of interest. The flat is very spacious for two people. Regrettably however the air conditioned is located in the hall of the flat, and it seems not to be powerful enough to refrigerate all the premises, principally the bedrooms. To make things worse, it was out of order. It became very unconfortable to sleep. We contacted Arrigo in order to solv the problem, but the only thing he did was to offer us a little fan. I would not stay there again in summer.
