Flat was really lovely and spacious, in a good location as well as near ferries to northern islands, train station, good restaurants etc. To walk to St Mark's was about 20 mins but it's very touristy in that area so better to stay further out, I think. Silvia met us from the water ferry and was very informative and helpful. One thing I'd say is the internet wasn't worth getting as verrrrrrry slow, it wasn't a major issue but we wouldn't have bothered having it if we knew beforehand. For 3 days though we can live without internet!
Myself and a colleague were in Venice for a filming project for a few days. Everything on Silvia's page was as stated. It was a really nice and big place and so central, to not only the tourist sites, but also to the places that aren't so popular. Silvia was very communicative from the moment the booking was made, and when we got delayed at the airport which meant she couldn't meet us she arranged to have someone else show us to the apartment, which is less than a five minute walk from the Giglio stop. All of our filming was during the night which meant we were having to catch up on sleep during the day, and I couldn't believe how quiet it was. I would definitely recommend Silvia and her apartments to everyone. Will certainly contact her for my next trip.
Great location and price for travellers on a budget, with plenty of room for a whole family. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Venice.
4 jours sympa a Venise!!
Silvia nous a très bien accueilli, l'appartement est très bien situé, tout est faisable a pieds et bien plus sympa qu'en vaporetti.
superbe ville a conseiller

Everything was great and Silivia was a perfect host
We had a most comfortable stay at Silvia's very well-situated apartment on Fondamento Taglia Pietra near San Toma. It fronted on to a charming corner with a view to a bridge over a busy back-canal next to the Foscari University. Barges unload on the pavement outside, taxi launches ply up and down and gondolas full of Chinese tourists wave as they quietly glide by. All this can be observed from the big windows of the twin bedroom (which inevitably gets a bit of noise from the activity), the large kitchen and the bathroom. On the opposite bank is the garden of a big building (currently being used as a builders' yard during a big construction project). The back, double-bedroom and the commodious sitting room have many large, double-glazed and well-functioning windows (with mosquito-net blinds) overlooking tranquil back-gardens...very quiet if you like a lie-in or an afternoon nap! In the short time we were there we couldn't really do justice to the apartment's enormous space and amenities. It can easily accommodate 4-5 people (although they'd have to take turns with the single bathroom). For a longer stay the large kitchen and dining room would be well-appreciated by those who enjoy cooking at home and experimenting with all the lovely produce available from the wonderful fish and vegetable markets at the Rialto There are some stalls too in the nearby Campo Santa Margarita - as well as many lively cafes and bars.
Silvia was very helpful, with good communications during the planning of our short trip, also on our arrival - meeting us to show us the way to the apartment, explaining things and recommending local places to eat. She very kindly allowed a couple of our friends to stay overnight without extra charge to share in our anniversary celebrations. All in all, in spite of incessant rain, a memorable Venetian experience. Thank you Silvia! We hope to return before too long. Jackie & Michael
We've had a great (though rather short) stay here. The apartment helped us to feel the spirit of Venice, it has its own style. It's very spacious, really comfortable. The antique and modern furniture are combined with a good taste, and we were impressed by the book collection in the bedroom. There was everything we needed, even coffee and tea. Some of the windows look at the canal, others - at the backyard. The location is good, all the central sights are in walking distance (if you don't get lost in the narrow alleys, but that's Venice). The waterbus stop is several minutes of walking away.
Silvia was very mindful, gave us valuable advice on the details of arriving to Venice. Despite our late arrival, she organized our check-in. I don't know what we would do if she hadn't warned us about aqua alta and we hadn't bought gumboots:) Thank you, Silvia!
The only downside was wi-fi - it was frankly slow despite being paid-for.
So, all in all, we're glad we chose this place for our stay in Venice.
Everything was perfect. Perfect ubication. Silvia great host.
Very recommendable flat. Venice ¡¡¡ bella !!!
