I don't think we could have found a more perfect place to spend our vacation. Beautiful home with beautiful views and the sound of the ocean to wake up to in the morning.
Casa Diggs is truly one of a kind! Away from the hubbub of Cabo, high on a hill overlooking the beautiful ocean. We had an amazing weekend watching the sunrise from the bed and the sunset from the pool deck. You are a great host Peter! Your recommendation to drive the north coast was spot on!
Peter's home is a the ultimate vacation escape: stunning views, immaculately clean, the utmost privacy, completely safe, and a 2-minute walk to a very private beach. It's far enough away from town that you feel completely secluded, but an easy enough drive to go in for dinner (which we did each day we stayed). Can't emphasize enough the great vantage point - panoramic ocean views that are just breathtaking. Judy couldn't have been more gracious and accommodating. We fell in love with Cabo, largely due to being able to access Peter's slice of paradise!
Amazing architecturally with views from bedroom angled to view every gorgeous sunrise. Watching whales from hillside vantage was simply a thrill. El Encanto is a bit remote, but if looking for peace and quiet the location is perfect. Best suited for a couple, though smaller casita could be used for 2 kids. Buzzards cafe short walk for food. Other dining/shopping options a bit of a drive. Property manager lives across street and was gracious host.
Beautiful property and an excellent place to relax. Great communication in the run up to our stay outlining the clean up process after hurricane Odile and the progress of the property. Peter and his team worked hard to ensure the place was ready for us which was greatly appreciated.
This property is approximately 20 minted drive from San Jose Del Cabo which is where the nearest shops and restaurants are, so anyone wanting frequent regular access to these should keep this in mind.
Highly recommended to anyone wanting peace and quiet in a beautiful villa
Peter's home is absolutely beautiful. Spending a week at Casa Diggs was a dream vacation.
House and host was amazing! Can't wait to stay there again in the future.
After reading all the glowing reviews and viewing the fantastic pictures of this property I was very excited to be renting Cass Diggs. I must say, I was a tad bit disappointed. Not in the beautiful house or the great location. I was disappointed in the woeful shortcomings of previous guests to accurately describe just how wonderful a place this really is. Wow is this place gorgeous. The glowing reviews and great pictures simply don't do this house justice. The way the house makes you feel, so relaxed, so at peace with everything and everyone, so private, I mean it's simply magical. I don't own the words to give Cass Diggs a fair review so I'll just say: it's the greatest house in the whole world and if I someday come into a sizable fortune I will be stealing every detail of Peter's great design (exterior and interior.) Thank you so very much Peter for allowing us to experience your lovely home. Please say hello to Jose the very charming guard with the perpetual smile for us.
Based on the pictures and description, we were expecting a beautiful home on a hillside near a beach. When we got there, I was shocked at how grossly exceed my expectations were. Thinking you know this ocean view from the listing photos is like saying you know the Yosemite Valley because you saw it on a postage stamp. Within the first hour of being there we saw a pod of gray whales go by on their way back north with their newborn claves. I will never forget it. And once the sun goes down, you are left with an amazing view of stars and planets. I found myself quickly downloading one of those star viewing apps to confirm, yes, that is Mars. The location is easy to find, however you will need a car as it is about 15 min outside of town. Closer than a drive to town are some of the must-see's of San Jose del Cabo: Flora's Farm/Kitchen, the El Ganzo hotel, The Drunken Sailor, and just a few hundred feet down the road, Buzzards Bar and Grill. So here you have beauty and convenience, but you also have safety. I have been visiting Mexico since I was young, mostly in the California border region, and I have never felt unsafe. But pulling through a security gate on your way to the house will make even the most paranoid travelers feel safe. Jose and Placido, the kind security guards on duty 24/7, always greeted us with a smile and remembered our names after day one. On a short walk to the beach access next to Buzzards, you will see local fishermen heading out for a morning dive with their spearguns and swim fins. It's a beautiful stretch of coastline, but I would not recommend getting in the water unless you are an extremely confident ocean swimmer. Just stick to the beautiful pool at Casa Diggs. I honestly can not think of anything negative to say. Maybe the sound of crashing waves on the beach will keep you awake if you are a light sleeper, or maybe it will put you to sleep like a puppy near it's mother's heart.
Enjoyed Casa Diggs very much. Worked out perfectly for two couples. We all enjoyed the beauty and comfort.
