We stayed here for 9 weeks. It became our home away from home. The location is great. There is a bus stop right out front, and several more around the corner or down the block to take you anywhere in town. The Brown line is a 15 minute walk away. And you are just 5 minutes from the lake, Belmont Harbor, and Lincoln Park that stretches to downtown. Lots of places nearby for dining and drinking. The neighborhood is very safe, and we frequently went for walks in this residential neighborhood. The doormen are very personable and the tenants are friendly, as well. We would definitely recommend this for your visit to Chicago.

The apartement is perfectly located on a quiet street in a beautiful neighborhood. It's a 10-15 min walk to the Belmont red line subway. There's plenty of bars and restaurants just around the corner. The apartment is small, but convenient. The kitchen has only one pot, one pan. The bedroom is large with enough room to properly place your belongings.
We had some issues with the place. The problems were adressed and resolved within 2 days. Make sure the A/C is installed before getting there because it can get very hot. This apartment isn't very luxorious , yet very convenient for what we wanted to spend.
I stayed at Jane's place for a little more than a week while waiting to move into my new apartment in Chicago. The location is amazing, so much so that I almost wished I was living there instead of where I ended up! You can get pretty much anywhere you want to go in Chicago on the bus and the El is not too far. The lake is literally across the street and there are a million restaurants the other way. The sandy beach is about a mile walk down the lake path but you can stop pretty much anywhere along the way for great views of the skyline. Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are both easy walks and the apartment has a kitchen with pretty much everything you need (except a coffee maker.) If you are a gym person check out Lakeview Athletic Club - it is a gorgeous facility and you might be able to get a week membership (I was able to go because I'd already joined their sister facility across town.) The building is a little funky but the apartment itself is comfortable and has pretty much everything you need. The laundry room is clean and convenient and the roof deck is AMAZING. Such cool views. Jane was helpful and easy to deal with - I didn't meet her but her brother Noah arranged to meet me and give me the keys and there were no issues with that. Overall I would definitely recommend Jane's place for a stay in Chicago (even if you're coming as a tourist you'll get more of a sense of what the city is like staying here than in the Loop.)
We spent a week here while sight-seeing in Chicago. The location was excellent, with easy access to buses and trains -- throw in an inexpensive 7-day CTA transit pass, and we could go wherever we wanted, whenever we wanted. The apartment had a bedroom, a large living/dining room, a kitchen, and a bathroom, all clean and comfortable. We felt very much at home. We would absolutely stay here again.
This is a well-located apartment in a beautiful neighborhood. The area is Lakeview, which is close to the lake, Wrigley Park and plenty of restaurants, bars and stores.
The unit was faded, with thrift store furniture, but clean and tidy. Our main issue was with the bed, which is a double, and is very soft. From our perspective, the bed is a key element and we would recommend a firmer Queen size bed.
There was only a partial roll of toilet paper with no spare, which we replaced on our own. The other issue, not the owner's fault, is the elevator, which broke down several times during our stay. The one time I messaged the owner, she was quick to respond and resolve the issue.
Jane est très arrangeante ainsi que Noah.
l'appartement est très comfortable et situé dans un quartier très sympa.
The apartment was simple and clean. The price was very reasonable. The hosts were very friendly and corrected any problem that arose immediately. We were very comfortable staying in the apartment.
Great appartment ,very convenient and well located , would definetly stay again if i come back to Chicago !
Jane's abode is super convenient to the city. There are so many easy ways to get about town. My friend and I stayed there while I was in town to run the Chicago Marathon. It was pretty much just what we expected to find when we arrived for our short stay.
The only weird part was the key exchange. Due to time differences and difficulty in getting in touch with each other prior to arriving, we didn't receive confirmation about our arrival procedures until we were at the airport for our redeye flight from Seattle to Chicago. The person we had to accept keys from was flying out for a separate weekend trip, so the keys were left in the lock box and the code texted over. All fine and good. But we had to linger outside the building until someone came by and we could get in the door, since we missed our host before their flight out of town.
Jane was really nice, she rent the flat for her parents, they were really nice, clean and the really take good care of my plants...
Hope to see them again in the flat or maybe Jane herself next time!
Jane was a guest kind and nice! Nothing bad to say about her! Freddy :-)
Great guests! Jane and her brother were really friendly, communicative, responsible and polite. They took great care of the apartment and when they left it was clean and tidy. I really hope to host Jane again and I strongly recommend her as guest. 5 stars! A perfect AirBnB experience
