Hello! We are Dawn and Caroline.

We both love to travel and at times rent out a room in our house, other times rent out the room with private use of the house when we're away. Our most recent trips have been to Hawaii and San Francisco and to visit our families in San Antonio, Boston, NYC and Philadelphia.

We love to eat and Portland is full of phenomenal restaurants, bars and food carts. The guidebook lists some of our favorites. We also love to watch movies and frequently go to the Living Room Theater and Regal Cinemas. One of Caroline's favorite things about Portland are all of the movie theaters that serve pizza and beer or even full menus, not just popcorn and candy.

We love to go hiking and there are lots of places to do that. The Gorge is full of waterfalls and trails. Closer to town is Forest Park and great parks like Kelly Point Park and the rose gardens. The original rose garden is a short bike ride from the house and is a great place to relax or have a picnic. The Audubon Society is a good place to take kids for short hikes through gorgeous woods.

When we're at home we tend to keep ourselves busy with work and continually finding ways to improve the house. We've got two really sweet cats who would love to get to know just about anybody.

Staying with us is casual. We will leave you to your own devices but are happy to answer questions, give suggestions or help out however we can. When we travel we also tend to keep to ourselves but appreciate having a resource who can help us find our way.
