I am a professional engineer from Saint Simons Island, GA, but I spend megatime visiting (i.e, doing desk work) in Columbia, MD and elsewhere. I'm very (happily) married with children, so when I'm away from home, I stay entertained by walking and reading classic fiction or nonfiction books.
Saint Simons Island is where the "Battle of the Bloodly Marsh" (which was a strange and confusing event in the War of Jenkin's Ear) was fought in 1740 something. I don't think that Jack Sparrow was involved.
I prefer paper books over the electronic ones, but either format is OK.
Favorite Authors: Joseph Conrad, Jane Austin (Note: Read all her novels), Mark Twain, U.S. Grant (Note: The general's autobiography is excellent.), Ben Franklin (Read his autobiography and most of his papers), Ernest Hemmingway, Flannery O'Conner, Douglas Adams, and M.L. King Jr (Note: His essay from the Birmingham jail is truely great.).
I do not smoke and do not use illicit drugs. I enjoy most topics, but avoid TV and rude attitudes.
