I'm a writer and college professor in Los Angeles, CA. I am all about space, silence, long walks, big views, quiet nights. I generally travel with my two children.

Lovely place, thoughtful inclusion of kid gear, great location, everything as promised. Liked the overall aesthetic of the place, and the thin ceiling was no bother after years of apartment living.
We were quite comfortable in Geneva's well located and spacious semi-subterrenean flat. Some people might like to be closer to the heart of any of the diverse districts throughout Portland, but we were really fine here. There's a supermarket a few blocks away, easy access to freeways and town and Mt. Tabor park is close by and beautiful. Housekeeping was not top notch as many surfaces could do with a good clean. The cool vintage settee was torn and paint was peeling off the wall in parts. Pet friendly might have extended to the carpet in the bedroom as stains were evident. There was also a violet-blue stain in the bath, perhaps from an adventure with hair dye? Overall, the place is alright, didn't smell and was relaxing despite the low ceilings. The small kitchen with dishes and cookware is helpful. Geneva communicated well regarding a delay in having the flat ready for us before our arrival. Overall, we felt relaxed and safe and that the location was easy and close enough to everything during our fun visit to Portland. We would return to Portland and Geneva's!
Geneva's apartment was perfect for our stay in Portland. It was easy to get everywhere in Portland from the apartment and Geneva was super easy is to communicate with, especially due to the our request being quite last minute. She helped us out a lot! The apartment was trendy, clean, spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed our stay a lot here and would definitely stay here again!
Clean, basic room. Ceiling is paper thin, so all traffic upstrairs is loudly heard; bring ear plugs. Refrigerator makes strange noises whenever it kicks on. It is loud. Bring ear plugs.
Lovely home, great location. No problems at all with the home or the logistics.
This is a 1BR apartment on the first floor of a house in a residential area which is quiet but very close to the MAX station at NE 60th Avenue. A couple of nice bars and coffee shops are right up the street as well.
The apartment is nicely decorated, clean, and spacious. The kitchen had all the basic equipment, including a coffee maker (very important!) and some pantry items.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay there, it was nice and private without feeling remote. We'd gladly stay here again.
Geneve was an easy guest to host. Very self sufficient. She is welcome to come back anytime! Left the Studio in great condition.
Geneva and her family were as easy as can be. I enjoyed meeting them and it was great to see the kids stuff get used! Toys in the yard! Awesome. Easy recommend.
Excellent guest. Thanks for staying with Casa Buena Vista Rental.
