hi my name is wayan, i am a balinese and love the balinese way of life .
Ok... so I have 500 words to fill in this review...
To be honest, that is way to much. There is only that one specific word that describes this place best: PERFECT!
And for the people that are not convinced by that single word: beautiful beautiful house, clean facilities, peaceful surrounding, idyllic setting, great service, very hostile and friendly help from Wayan, lovely garden, even better pool, etc etc.
Just rent a scooter and discover the great beaches and culture of the Uluwatu area and have this incredible oasis to come back to!
Very nice place, we had a great time. Thanks to Wayan for al the help fixing transport etc.
Stayed at Laksmi Villa with 4 friends in January! The villa is beautiful and we had a fantastic time. Wayan is an amazing host and we will definitely try to come back as soon as possible.
Response from Wayan:
glad you all had agood time ,we hope to see you again soon ,wayan
Nice private villa to have relaxing time in Bali.
A little far from crowded areas but still near (by car or motorbike) beaches and restaurants.
Nice rooms and swimming pool.
Staff very nice.
Some problem with wifi.
Great place, recommend to every family and rich people!
We are really enjoy our stay (total 6 days).
The place is good. All pictures are real.
We had small problem with hot water supply but one phone call and it was fixed.
Small warning: there are a lot of ants there so do not leave your food on surface.
To get to villa in ease scooter is highly recommended.
But beside this amazing pool, conditions and relaxing is what we need.
Our favorite place we stayed while in Bali! Amazing villa and great and helpful staff - Wayan was great with all our needs and the whole team at Villa Laksmi was very helpful to us. We rented a moped while there (Wayan arranged) and it worked out great - easy to get around and no problem on the roads if you are mildly comfortable driving the thing (my husband even convinced me to do it one day to the main road, so it's not hard). The Villa is amazing - we loved it. The pool fantastic. If you want to watch a movie at the villa just either bring some DVDs or buy some in Kuta before you come. The ac works great and the outdoor bathroom and shower are fantastic. We had a number of issues with the safe not working, but the staff promptly and professionally fixed the issue immediately every time. Very impressive customer oriented service. The complimentary ride to the airport was appreciated! Amazing stay and would come here again!!!
The reservation was canceled 82 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This is a beautiful two year old villa with a lovely open communal area. There are two airconditioned double rooms, each with (outdoor) ensuite, plus a mezzanine level with another double bed and mosquito net (we did not use the mezzanine). Pool is small but perfect for an afternoon cool off dip. The villa is tucked away about 10 mins' walk from the main road through Padang Padang, in a complex with two other villas as far as I could tell, so it's very quiet. Wayan picked us up and transferred us back to the airport via a supermarket as promised, and was very happy to organise any transport or day trips we desired.
All in all a very smooth trip and I would strongly recommend the villa for a group of friends wanting to get away from it all for a long weekend or longer. Thanks Wayan!
This Villa was not quite what we had expected. Though to be fair, we are a family of two adults and 4 children aged 2-7yo and I think this Villa is geared for couples, not young families. The Manager, Wayan, is amazing and when it was obvious that the Villa didn’t suit our needs he tried to fix the situation as best he could. So, some pros and cons of the Villa:
Close enough to Padang Padang Beach for an Adult or older child to walk (or ride a scoter) from the Villa. It’s a rough road though so reasonable scooter skills are recommended.
Fantastic Manager, Wayan.
Would suit a couple (or two couples) that can walk/scooter into the restaurant/beach area.
Reasonable price for a 2 bed Villa in that area.
Really close to all the amazing surfing beaches, Padang Padang, Impossibles, Ulu’s, all a short walk or scooter ride away.
Wayan will arrange a very safe and new scooter at a good price.
The layout, there are two bedrooms that lock up, they are separate and there are no other enclosed areas, i.e. the livingroom/kitchen area has no 4th wall. We were not comfortable with leaving our young children in one bed on one side of the villa while we slept in the other, so my wife and I slept in separate rooms and divided the kids up (not quite what my wife and I had in mind for our holiday!)
There are mosquitos, despite what they will tell you, though they are not a plague by any stretch of the imagination and would not have bothered us but did bother the kids.
Too far away from the Beach and Restaurant strip for kids to easily walk, we could usually manage one way however.
Taxis really expensive (for Bali) to and from Villa. They sort of have you over a barrel though when you’ve got 4 young kids hanging off you! Local Bemo rates in Pecatu (Villa area) were much higher than when we took a Bemo from elsewhere back to the Villa
Simple kitchen, gas and a few pots, not really enough for self-contained.
No pool fence, we knew that before going.
Tiny ants everywhere and only the fridge was the safe spot for food, probably not an issue for a couple with a smaller amount of food, but for a hungry family we ran short on space. And there were some rats, they ate the boxes of food that we kept in the locked up bedrooms and there was rat poo in the rooms the next morning, didn’t bother me but my wife was less comfortable with it.
Of the 12 days we booked in there, we only stayed 5 nights.
Also worth noting that I did ask before I booked if Laksmi Villa would accommodate our young family. So, conclusion, It’s not a place I’d go back to, though if I did it’d be because of Wayan.
