The difficulty of the trip to get to this location is hard to understand until you experience it. An hour and a half of bare rock roads. Dust like you've never seen. It would make me think twice about going back.
The villa is nice. It had a lot of ants which I believe came in on the towels which were air dried. It had no cooking supplies at all. Not even salt and pepper.
The property is a 10 minute walk to the beach but it also means that everyone else is going right down that road on their motorcycles and ATV's. Noisy...very noisy. The bedroom is right on the road.
To top it off the automatic sprinkler system is noisy enough to wake you up at 3AM, even with the windows closed and the AC on.
In fairness, the pool and the gardens are beautiful and the beach is the most beautiful I've ever seen.
The Villas were a great place to stay. The location was perfect, a short 3 minute walk to the Playa Guiones beach and "town center" where there were restaurants and shops. There was a great pool and hammocks/deck area and the place was well secured, so we felt safe. There was usually someone around either cleaning or working, so we weren't worried about our stuff getting stolen. I would 100% stay here again and hope I get a chance to.
Location is great for walking to the beach. Make a coffee in the room and walk to the beach and drink there watching the waves. wifi speed was about 3mbps and worked well for (website hidden) calls. But did go down 3 long periods while we were there for 3 weeks. So its "fairly reliable". Condo has good fans and AC in bedroom. Good kitchen. Nice gardens and pool. you can walk around, but to get to the main street is kinda a pain in raining season. A bit far. Walk to yoga institute is like 15 minutes. Nice to have a quad or a car. We were there for 3 weeks in rainy season aka slow season, green season, and construction season. So lots of places are closed, people rebuilding things too. But quieter and nice. Rained a few days all day, but mostly in the afternoon. Was nice.
Great Location, Super Comfortable, Everybody we interacted with was wonderful. We were pleasantly surprised by the incredible location and they have people come and clean while we were there. What a treat, we will be back for sure!
