Maine Forest Yurts campground is owned and operated by the Crowley Family who developed their property for the adventurous at heart.
In 2008, Bob Crowley went on the reality show Survivor: Gabon and 39 days later he was voted the oldest winner in the show’s history. He also won the ‘Sprint Survivor of the Season’ which is voted by the fans for their favorite player. His knack for the outdoors and his survival skills allowed him to comfortably play the game of Survivor.
After Bob retired from teaching high school physics for 25 years, he started Maine Forest Yurts, which offers individuals, couples, families and corporate groups an eco-friendly, camping experience where guests can connect with nature in the Maine outdoors.
Maine Forest Yurts is located on 100 private acres on Runaround Pond in Durham, Maine. The campground is nestled in a pristine setting perfect for a weekend excursion, adventurous day trip or a week long retreat. Guests can pick to stay in one of our high-end yurts or bring their own tent.
