The House of Brendon is just renovated and very nice. It is very close to Harvard University and I enjoyed staying there. Brendon is a very nice host!
Great neighborhood and nice common areas. The room was a little smaller than I expected, but clean and convenient.
If you would like to live a true Bostonian experience with an Australian host, I would definitely recommend staying at Brandon’s house!
My stay was amazing. Brandon will make you feel at home immediately. I couldn’t hope for a better host! Every time I asked for recommendations in terms of sights or nice restaurants, he always came up with great places to visit or to eat off the beaten tourist tracks. I had a great time hanging out with him.
His place is 10 minutes within walking distance away from Harvard campus, where I studied for a month. It is super easy to get around and it is close to any public transportation (bus and subway).
I’ll definitely visit again and stay in touch with Brandon!
Staying at Brendan house was more than great for many reasons. Brendan is a friendly, super kind and fun guy. Really a great host. We visited together the SOWA market in Boston, went to see a documentary film with his friends, to a porch music day in Somerville and even to walk Maggie, his lovely puppy, to the park. The house is beautiful and cool, newly renovated and in a quiet location.
We highly recommend staying at Brendan's place.
We have a new friend and we expect him to visit us in Chile.
We enjoyed our time at Brendan's place in Boston. Brendan is a very pleasant and accommodating host. We particularly appreciated feeling welcome to use the kitchen/dining/living room areas. It is much easier to vacation with kids if you can have access to the fridge/kitchen and not have to eat in restaurants all the time! Bedrooms are a good size, and the house is located close to bus lines. We enjoyed the walk to Harvard Square to catch the T.
Brendan was very quick to reply to emails - even responding from Alaska! This was our first AirBnB experience, and Brendan was extremely helpful with managing our booking, adding on another day when we wanted to arrive earlier than planned.
If we visit Boston again, we will definitely check to see if Brendan's place is available. Thank you for helping make our Boston vacation a great one.
This was my girlfriend and my first airbnb experience, and Brendon made it painless and stress-free. If you're a foodie, the location of his house can't be beat. In addition to Tap and Trotter and the Biscuit (we second Brendon's recommendation of these places), it is within walking distance to the Starlite Lounge and Journeyman, both of which have had some good press. There's also a Whole Foods in the neighborhood, if you feel like doing some grocery shopping. To top it off, it's also within walking distance to Harvard.
Brandon is a great host. He was very response and helped me out when I needed a space for the same day. He is an extremely cool Aussie and a real friendly guy. He provided me with great coffee, some beers and breakfast in the morning. I even had a chance the meet his neighbours and had a few drinks with them. Recently, his place is completely renovated and it’s very spacious. The bed was comfortable and the room has everything you need when you stay over. I will definitely check out Brendans place and his (lovely dog) again when I return to Boston.
Brendon is a wonderful host with a lovely space to share. He gave us great recommendations in the area, and conversation was always interesting. We hope he visits us in Chicago!
I stayed in Brendan's apartment for two nights. Brendan was very quick to respond to my messages. He had to leave for a conference at short notice just before I arrived so I didn't meet him face to face, but he made sure that I knew exactly how to get in to the apartment and left me contact details for the neighbours in case I needed any help.
The apartment is in a peaceful residential area about 15 minutes walk from Harvard square. It is not huge, but well furnished, with a nice kitchen area, and the bedroom I was staying in was a good sized double. The apartment had been newly redecorated when I stayed and was a little impersonal, but I think this was mainly because Brandon had not yet had a chance to
hang up his pictures and personalise the space. Even though I only had contact with Brandon through emails and texts, he came across as hospitable and generous and made me feel at home in his place. I would definitely look at staying there again if I was visiting Cambridge/ Boston.
What a nice Host- thanks for all the tips- especially Bellaluna ;o), great connections to the T-Line, our room was absolutely good. Small, but comfortable. The neighbourhood was calm and nice, we really enjoyed the time and Brendon's place.
Brendon was a great guest!
Brendon was a wonderful guest. Friendly, respectful and simply an all-around nice guy. It was a pleasure hosting him and I'd welcome him back any time.
