We loved our stay at Diana's house, so many personal touches that made us feel right at home! We loved the classical music playing when we arrived and the chocolates on our pillows. While we never met Diana, she was easy to contact before and during our stay.
Three of us stayed here for a conference, but had a hard time leaving the house and beautiful Belmont Shore neighborhood each day. As other reviewers have stated, the house is larger than it appears in the photos. The rear parking space is great, although street parking was also convenient. The beds were very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure.
The location could not be beat, equidistant from the beach and 2nd Street, with lots of great restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. Diana was also kind enough to leave a few bikes in the garage for our use, which we used to ride along the bike path by the beach. I would love to stay here again in the future!
Diana is an excellent responder, a few hours at most. I actually chose her place over another because the other took 3 days to respond. The cottage is bigger than it seems in the photos. We arrived at a time of record high temperatures and the window air conditioners did a fine job of keeping us comfortable.
The location is great, between the beach and 2nd street. We used her parking space to avoid the hassle of street cleaning, etc.. Coffee in the morning in the small back yard was enjoyable and quiet. You can stay here and never move your car once you have groceries.
This is a great place if you need a two bedroom.

Wonderful cottage - it is in a great location, close to the beach and minutes away from 2nd Street with lovely shops and restaurants. In the evenings it was lovely & warm, we found it very spacious for our family 4 adults and toddler.
Diana is a lovely host and made booking, arrival and our stay so simply - we had never done this before! She was happy to help make our stay perfect.
Diana has a lovely home and you really can't beat the location to enjoy the Long Beach Belmont Shore area. She was also a wonderful host, truly opening her home for use, following up with us helpfully and otherwise boasting a minimal checkin / checkout process. We hope to stay here again in the future.
We were looking for an experience of the Long Beach "The Shore" lifestyle and, boy, did we get it! Diana's house has even more warmth and character than you see in the pictures and the neighbourhood is so charming, we found ourselves wandering around the streets at night. The location of the house is simply perfect - one block to the left and you have all the restaurants/shops you can want while one block to the right and you are on the beach. Diana provides you with all the snacks and beach equipment you could wish for (beach towels, chairs, bags, coolers, etc.) and you never went wrong foodwise with her recommendations. She was also extremely responsive to our questions/requests - we asked for a kettle and we had one delivered to our door the next morning. Lastly, as a great example of her thoughtfulness, she sent a lovely gift of baby products when she found out I was pregnant. I cannot recommend this place or the host highly enough.
Me, my husband, mother, and 8 month old daughter all stayed at Diana's Belmont Shore home for a week, and it was lovely. Wonderful location, we ate at great restaurants and gelato places, and shopped on 2nd street, a short walk away. The beautiful beach was even closer. The neighborhood is so nice to walk in. We had access to Diana's beach bikes and a private parking space. She also supplied us with lots of nice snacks. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Though we never met, Diana was easy to reach via phone and text. We used the washer and dryer frequently because of the baby, and initially the washer wasn't working properly. Diana was very responsive and walked us through fixing it with her workarounds, and she seemed willing to call in a pro if that didn't work. The beds were very comfortable, and on cold nights the old school house heater was excellent. Even though the house is quite old (built in 1926!), it's quaint, and suited our needs perfectly.
Great beach cottage. Location and setup was excellent. Diana was exceptional and was very responsive. She was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her place. You won't be disappointed!
The Beachy Chic Cottage is the perfect location ... near the beach and wonderful restaurants and shops!
